Scrimmage Today?

Post by newhouse9 » April 6th, 2024, 9:47 am

Good morning! Have any of you heard where the scrimmage will be held today? My weather app shows no rain/snow until 3 or up in Logan, but I'd like to verify if it will be in the stadium at 1. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Closed to public and will be held indoors due to weather.

It sounds like Petras won.

Graduate senior quarterback Spencer Petras, a transfer from Iowa, led Utah State as he was 26-of-34 passing for 295 yards with two touchdowns, while fellow graduate senior Cooper Legas was 16-of-22 passing for 115 yards. Junior Bryson Barnes, a transfer from Utah, was 7-of-10 for 95 yards and sophomore McCae Hillstead was 6-of-10 from 45 yards.

Sounds like the defense didn’t offer much resistance

Sh!t bench legas

“First things first, we bench Coop. Once that’s done we can talk strategy…”

Yeah, those numbers have me a bit worried about the defense 😅
For comparison, as bad as the defense was last year, the scrimmage we had at this time last spring had them surrendering 857 yards compared to 740 this year. 190 rushing yards this year compared to 337 last year. What is scary is the defense in the scrimmage at this time last year had 11 sacks and 23 tackles for loss compared to only 3 sacks and 6 tackles for loss this year.
