Is Trey Andersen or anyone else threatening to overtake Cole Motes

For the starting job? Or are all the backups just as bad or worse than Motes at letting guys past him? Or is Motes able to look good in practice cause he is playing against defenders that aren't any better.
There was talk of trying to recruit over everyone, and it would be nice if Petras turns out to prove he is that good and an upgrade over Legas and that the Iowa offensive system was the problem. But I felt like Motes was the guy we had more of a need to upgrade over than Legas.

Motes plays because of the seniority system that BA puts on this team.

Petras is older which lost Coop his seniority.
