Re: Anthony Switzer
He was really dynamic, could've been in the field a lot this year at USU. Hope he finds what he's looking for

Re: Anthony Switzer
Honestly, that defense was so bad there's not a player on it I would feel bad about losing from an on-the-field stand point. That being said, there are a few I would prefer to stay because of what they represent and mean to the program off the field.
Switzer was really good in his striker role but was completely over matched and out of place at LB. BA made comments about making the switch because he felt this is where Switz had a better shot at showcasing himself for the next level. I just don't see it.
Hopefully he can find a place that he enjoys.

I'm glad we brought in the LB from Buffalo, but this one will hurt. Switz has the potential to be an NFL Lb.

Sucks to see him go as he is talented but based on his tweets it seemed like he was upset about these things quite often so not totally surprising.

I believe BA is a good man and cares for people, but BA as the football coach is done and needs to retire.

Re: Anthony Switzer
The ironic thing is THAT guy committed AFTER Joe Cauthen was let go while Switzer liked him and was upset about the move. Maybe Anthony finally heard from Joe which school will take him as an analyst or other lower support role.AggieUprising50 wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 1:07 pmI'm glad we brought in the LB from Buffalo, but this one will hurt. This one at least wouldn't be on BA. He wouldn't have followed him here from Arkansas State in the first place if he didn't like him.

It sucks to lose him, hopefully our collective is learning a lesson. Don’t pay these idiots until they can’t leave.

BA as a football coach was good but now finished. It feels like in a way that we have gotten GA 1.0 to GA 2.0 with the BA era.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 1:19 pmThis one at least wouldn't be on BA. Is there no contract with the collective ? Damn this is frustrating these guys run it back so to speak so we pay them all winter and don’t recruit over them thinking they are on roster and they leave in spring absolute chicken (I can't express myself without swearing) on there partBullnamed_gus wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 1:20 pmIt sucks to lose him, hopefully our collective is learning a lesson. Well, (I can't express myself without swearing). Does this mean I don't get to see any more Spider-Man celebrations after tackling someone after a 15 yard gain?
Good player, but this dude was laaaaaaame.

If you think it was bad last year, just wait until the good players we had are gone.Aglicious wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 1:06 pmHonestly, that defense was so bad there's not a player on it I would feel bad about losing from an on-the-field stand point. Re: Anthony Switzer
Man, it's gonna be really embarrassing for the Yewts when we beat 'em after our whole team transfers out.
Re: Anthony Switzer
Honestly, don't let the door hit ya.
I've never been one to wish players or coaches ill when leaving. Do what's best for you, but don't give me the run it back, rallying the troops bullsh*t. I somehow hate the current era of Aggie football far more than I hated any of the Brent Guy years.

kinda a kick in the nuts transferring out on the last day to renew season tix. Honestly season ticket renewal deadline shouldn't be until the portal is closed.

Agreed, if you say are going to run it back then stay true to running it back for the next year instead of just through spring.

Re: Anthony Switzer
I’m going to sound like a grumpy old man, but this $hit is getting old. How are you going to make a whole a$$ video about running it back, go through all of spring ball, and then quit on your teammates. I’m all for kids being able to do what’s best for them if you’re not going to get playing time, if you’ve got personal/family issues, etc… but some of these moves are egregious. you have to have some integrity and some love for your brothers on the team too. If I was one of his teammates I’d be pissed. Feels like you got stabbed in the back.

Re: Anthony Switzer
Switz was a great player at the MWC level. But man is that disrespect.
He complained repeatedly about $$$, took it, then bailed. He has no respect for people’s hard earned money they give to the system.
For his sake, I hope he makes the NFL because frankly he hasn’t represented himself well. The constant whining and expecting to be catered to like he is a 5* at Georgia was very unpleasant to be around.

Re: Anthony Switzer
The collective can for sure set payments after the the deadline to transfer. Not sure what they have done but going forward all payments should be after the spring signing period so at least you know they cannot transfer until after the upcoming season is over.BigCountryAG wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 1:28 pmIs there no contract with the collective ? Re: Anthony Switzer
The spring transfers of starters are worse to me than the transfers in December. At least than there is some time. I have no problems with players that are stuck low on the depth chart to transfer after spring but to have starters transfer after spring is a complete joke especially if they stated 3 months ago they were going to run it back.CacheCow wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 2:04 pmI’m going to sound like a grumpy old man, but this $hit is getting old. Re: Anthony Switzer
I'm sure collectives have/will get smart after getting burned a few times. Set payments up for May 1 - Nov 1. No payments from Dec 1-April 30 (which covers both portal windows). No need to pay guys after the winter portal closes when they can collect checks in the spring, then portal in April. Make the May 1 payment large - call it a roster bonus or something, then normal disbursements until Nov 1.

But Switz has been an ungrateful twerp since Day 1.
