Re: Ajani Carter???
How much of the leaving was his choice. I got the feeling that there was more to it than him entering the portal and not related to on the field performance.Stockypoo2212 wrote: ↑April 23rd, 2024, 2:07 pmno, and he's an idiot for leaving in the first place.

100% HIS CHOICE!!! The off-the-field issue was blown out of proportion.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑April 23rd, 2024, 4:13 pmHow much of the leaving was his choice. Re: Ajani Carter???
I would take him back. I get not letting a guy take they'd name it of the portal and not letting them test the waters. But if a guy leaves then wants to came back year or 2 later, I would treat them like any other transfer portal guy. If he can contribute, offer him a spot.

Interesting. If he wants to come back, I view it like Mo Alexander. He took his L, and can contribute.aggies22 wrote: ↑April 23rd, 2024, 4:34 pm100% HIS CHOICE!!! But I don’t see a 1 year sit exception in the “out after the portal” policy. Based on the tone of that tweet, and that’s it’s a tweet, it seems Blake doesn’t either.
But frankly, it doesn’t look like anyone else wants him either.

Re: Ajani Carter???
I think if a dude left for an entire year and wanted to come back, IF he still fit, I think Coach Anderson would entertain the possibility. The transfer policy is to keep guys from holding their scholarship hostage while fielding offers from other schools.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑April 23rd, 2024, 5:21 pmInteresting. I’m 100% okay with taking Ajani back.aggies22 wrote: ↑April 23rd, 2024, 5:32 pmI think if a dude left for an entire year and wanted to come back, IF he still fit, I think Coach Anderson would entertain the possibility. This opportunity could change his life, I’m assuming he doesn’t have his degree just yet.
more of coach helping out a guy that’s down right now.

We needed him last year. All those PI calls throughout the year…aggies22 wrote:I think if a dude left for an entire year and wanted to come back, IF he still fit, I think Coach Anderson would entertain the possibility. I’d give him a shot to come back this year. But I’d make sure he clears a physical/conditioning evaluation first

Re: Ajani Carter???
Plain and simple a lot of the players that transfer don't pan out in their future location. Players need to use some patience, it will serve them well throughout their working life as well. Ajani was very good at USU and could have stayed and improved his profile. The grass is not always greener at the other location.

Re: Ajani Carter???
I totally agree. In general, kids in their early 20's do not always see/comprehend the long-term effects of their short-term decisions.
There are just not very many kids that transfer up and make it big. Just looking at the kids who have transferred away from Utah State, some have done ok, but as many have faded away..
There are plenty of transfer stories of kids that successfully transfer down or transfer laterally. Not all that many successfully transfer UP with totally awesome fairytale story endings.

Last time Elelyon Noa showed up on a roster anywhere was at Bozo in 2022. Did he quit playing FB? Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else.Hoot wrote: ↑May 2nd, 2024, 1:25 pmHe was hinting at Noa coming back. Fair question ViAggie. I'm curious and just haven't invested any time to follow Elelyon after his very miscalculated and unfortunate departure.

Re: Ajani Carter???
Apparently he took his game to British Columbia Junior Football League, where he suited up for the Okanagan Sun for a few games last fall. Joined them late in their season, in time for the last couple games and the playoffsViAggie wrote: ↑May 2nd, 2024, 2:20 pmLast time Elelyon Noa showed up on a roster anywhere was at Bozo in 2022.
