Is Dickerson the highest rated player we've landed? Looking at his bio, coming out of HS he was rated the #2 CB, top 250 (49th) overall, and consensus four-star recruit when he signed with Oregon.

Trying to figure out how he ended up in Logan...

The only reason this stuff seems unusually common at Utah State is because you only pay really close attention to Utah State.

There also isn't the level of protection at Utah State. Hell some of our players even get parking tickets on their illegally parked car.

I'm not sure who this Aggies2022 imposter is, but I can help you out. Our coaching staff has a unique connection with the staff at the University of Oregon, if the opportunity arises and we have a spot for one of the Ducks portal players, if they are a good fit, they are offered a spot at Utah State. That does not mean that we'll take every Duck that enters the portal or even offer them. It simply means there is a connection between the two coaching staffs.

Avante is the second-highest rated recruit we've ever had. The number one spot goes to Brian Soi.

Okay, he broke the law and I get that but, the kid is a college student, probably 50 percent of college students around the country have done the same thing he got hit for.

And the failure to appear, at least 25% of cache Valley has been arrested for that.

This seems like a really really... not a big deal.

He has been sitting out spring ball with an injury. Maybe the controlled substance was pain medicine for it.

I find it more sad that some of these college kids aren’t clever enough to not get caught? To the point above, most college students break rules and do stupid stuff (though I never broke the law at that age). If you want to partake in the Devil’s Lettuce, or whatever the substance of this particular case was, set yourself up for success maybe?

Of course, I would prefer our student athletes to avoid weed and be compliant with the warrants, but if this is the worst offense we see all year, I'll be ok with that.
