Re: Current State of USU Basketball
Someone get me in touch with Mike. I served my mission in Mongolia. There are a decent amount of Mongolians in Utah due to the connection with the church. I’m 5’10” and there were very few Mongolians taller than me. I believe he is the only Mongolian in D1 basketball currently, maybe ever. Basketball doesn’t fall into the three manly sports of Mongolia; Wrestling, archery, and horse racing. However, we did play quite a bit of basketball on pday.

Can we make a thread called “Random portal players with no connection to usu” and put all the stuff like this with no connection to usu in there?
This kid did well at a P5, his dad played in the nba, he’s young, has no connection to usu, and was seeking big NIL $ with big p5 offers.
He was never coming to usu.

It’s actually somewhat impactful as it probably means Mongolia mike is less likely to go to cal.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑April 27th, 2024, 11:14 amCan we make a thread called “Random portal players with no connection to usu” and put all the stuff like this with no connection to usu in there?

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
Question is, did Mongolian Mike not include USU in his top 3 because we told him Tucker Anderson was committing, or did we end up with Tucker because Mike told is no? Not that it matters as either player was a great option. I think I’d probably take Tucker if I had the choice anyway.

Calhoun did a 10-man rotation at Youngstown State with one player over 30 minutes, and Calhoun played 7 players over 18 minutes per game and 2 other players over 11 minutes per game.BasketballAgg wrote: ↑April 29th, 2024, 11:34 amDoes anyone have stats on Calhouns rotations ??

We lost Max last year, nearly lost Mason it seemed. Happy to have deeper early season rotations.

Based on their per 30 stats, we can make 30 more points a game by playing 10 instead of 8.
