The green backdrop is for chroma key so they can replace it with graphics in post production

The shorts have a pewter/white striping that makes it look like a finger print. They look awesome in person. Some of the guys wanted a jersey a bit tighter than last year, and apparently that meant shorter shorts as well, with the way things were sized. Doesn't matter though as most of the guys wear those tights/leggings during games.
