If we can get Houston on the road, we will be in people's brackets as an at-large. The St. Mary's win is looking better and better. BYU was a top 100 team on the road and ASU is highly rated.

I hope the conference will take a close look at the causes for the near-collapse of MWC basketball. It was just about seven months ago that Gonzaga was seriously considering a move to the MWC, but the WCC looks to be clearly stronger this year.

The WCC currently has an overall record of 70-32 while the MWC is at 55-43.

Here are a few more data points:
Teams with winning record:
MWC - 5 (of 11)
WCC - 9 (of 10)

Top 100 teams in NET rankings:
MWC - 3
WCC - 6

If you were to drop the bottom MWC team (SJSU), order them according to NET rankings and then pair up the remaining 10 teams in each conference in a MWC-WCC challenge, the NET rankings would say that all WCC teams would be favored except that #10 Air Force would be ahead of #10 Santa Clara.
