Cowardly Krystkowiak

Post by Aggieup2 » May 27th, 2019, 9:50 am

Article in the D News identifies krystkowiak as the
reason for of lack of in-state BB games between Utah schools.

Good to highlight his arrogance, but I'm pessimistic about any changes until he is gone.

I believe the ewe has lost 7 in a row in Logan that is the reason they do not wish to return. They argue they are in a bigger conference so they have nothing to gain, they have been in a bigger conference than we have forever. We play Weber in Ogden so the reason they will not play in Logan is easy to see.

There was an article last week about how the U was in favor of the PAC-12 20 game schedule because they were having trouble finding high quality opponents (RPI <175) . Ignoring the fact that there are two schools within 90 miles of their campus that consistently fit that criteria and they wont play them because they are too chicken (I can't express myself without swearing) to risk a road loss to Weber or USU. Why they are having trouble finding quality schools to play OOC is that there are few self respecting schools that will play a one and done in SLC.

Here's Larry's road OOC scheduling through his UofU tenure
Within a couple of years after Larry started and along with the move to the PAC-12 all of the road conference games ended with the exception of one or two national games probably set up by the conference or the TV partner.

I don't know how the U's schedule compares to other power 5 schools but it is a joke. I think there should be a requirement to qualify for the NCAA tournament you should have to play 40% of your OOC games as true road games.

Add SDSU, Fresno, and Wyoming as schools they have scheduled in football, home and home since joining the PAC-12. I don't think they have scheduled Nevada(yet)

There comes a point where if a conference only plays itself, one good team each ooc and a bunch of cupcakes it’s almost a circular argument to say that the conference is strong.

That’s what the PAC12 does in both sports. Go look at their OOC schedule and wins. They don’t beat anyone but each other. That conference is a huge fraud.

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

Almost?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

We got physically manhandled by U Dub. I am hard pressed to mock the PAC-12 too hard after that one.

We got physically manhandled in a worse way the first game against Nevada in Nevada. I don't think you can draw too many conclusions from one game.

KrystkoWHACK-JOB is a pussy and needs to be dealt with. What IF we offered to play his team at the Huntsman Center in the upcoming season (2019-2020) with a one and done? Do you think he would accept? Is it too late to offer? I like our chances of winning there given our team, coach, and the experience we gained from last year. What do we have to lose?

I know the overwhelming response on this board will be "hell no, we don't need them!" but how fun would it be to pack that place full of Aggie fans?

Not a fan of Coach K and it would be great to play them but I get why they don't do it. They have very little to gain and a lot to lose by playing us. They have more to lose by getting beat by us then they do by getting beat by most other non conference games they schedule.

Are you kidding me? I think the tables have turned. We have a lot more to lose by getting beat by them than they have to lose by getting beat by us. Really what would they lose if they lost to us? Haha. Go Aggies

This probably isn’t an unfair assessment from the 12/13 season until the 17/18 season.

But this upcoming year that isn’t true. We will see if an improved USU team attracts Utah.

I’m not holding my breath though.
