Re: BIG WIN!
Yep that was a very big victory it so frustrating we couldn't win one game out of Air Force and UNLV even winning one one one of those we would be be in such a great position.

Re: BIG WIN!
Florida has been right on the cusp of Q1/Q2. This should solidify them as Q1 as they should move up to the 30’s NET. The top 2 teams right now in the SEC standings are 4-0 LSU and 4-1 Florida.

Re: BIG WIN!
SDSU will move up to 5th with a win tonight. If we had beat either unlv or air force we would be knocking on top 25 again.

BIG WIN!
How did Florida give us a big win? Those days are loooong gone. We are the only ones that can deliver big wins for us now.

Re: BIG WIN!
UNLV will end up being an okay loss. Air Force on the other hand... I think we need to win the rest of our regular-season conference games to have a chance at an at-large invite.
Re: BIG WIN!
I tend to agree with BrownJeans on winning out, however there are some interesting things going on. North Texas had a big win today and moved up to 87 in KenPom. CSU is playing really well and moved up to 101 in KenPom. We have moved up 5 spots today in KenPom to 65 without playing yet.

Re: BIG WIN!
Did you guys see the end of the UNT gme! It ws crazy! UNT down 1 with 5 seconds and they drive down the entire floor for a floater with .1 seconds. They counted it but then reviewed it for about 10 minutes and then finally counted it for UNT to win by 1. That was a really good win as La Tech was like 13-4. UNT is now 5-1 and tied for 1st in C-USA.bpd wrote: ↑January 18th, 2020, 5:31 pmI tend to agree with BrownJeans on winning out, however there are some interesting things going on. Re: BIG WIN!
Absolutely none of this matters unless we win out in the regular season (with a loss to SDS) and win 2 games in the MWC tourney with a loss to SDS in the final. Otherwise it’s “NIT here we come”. But even another loss or two will likely not quell the “what’s our NET rating today?” enthusiasm on this board.
Re: BIG WIN!
Even in the significantly likely scenario that the Aggies don’t become a serious at-large contender, it’s still fun to see teams that lost to the Aggies do well. And the NIT is better than nothing.utaggies wrote: ↑January 18th, 2020, 6:53 pmAbsolutely none of this matters unless we win out in the regular season (with a loss to SDS) and win 2 games in the MWC tourney with a loss to SDS in the final. I have been following and talking about the NET throughout the season, but I’m expecting the NIT. In fact, I’ll be mildly surprised if they beat Boise State tonight.

Re: BIG WIN!
Ok I feel awful. I jinxed the team. I am going to temporary ban myself for a bit. I'll be back, but I'm imposing a self punishment. I deserve any criticism for thinking ahead.

And if we lose to Boise?Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑January 18th, 2020, 9:50 pmI would disagree we arent in play for an at-large bid. Currently 15-5 with 2 big time wins. I imagine if we push that to 17-5 after next week we will be back in consideration and one of the last four out bubble teams.
I think you jinxed us

Re: BIG WIN!
I don’t want to read or hear about another damn NET ranking the rest of the year, or what our ranking is due to an LSU/Florida win. Full stop.utaggies wrote: ↑January 18th, 2020, 6:53 pmAbsolutely none of this matters unless we win out in the regular season (with a loss to SDS) and win 2 games in the MWC tourney with a loss to SDS in the final.
