Aggie Basketball March Madness Tournament

By popular demand, I decided to also create a tournament of Aggie Basketball moments. I decided to only to regular season moments since it's a given that the 01 Ohio State game would win if that was included, and if that wasn't, a conference tournament championship would. So having only regular season moments would level out the playing field. Any thing I forgot to include before we proceed with the tournament

Wild Bill Regional

1. Winning @ BYU, 04-05
2. Nevada, 06-07
3. Boise State, 99-00 which finished our conference season at 16-0
4. Utah at the last second, 2000-01
5. BYU, highlighted by the Silas Mills Dunk 94-95
6. BYU in the season opener, 11-12
7. St. Mary’s highlighted by the Brady Jardine dunk, 2010-11
8. New Mexico State game where Jaycee had 44 points and there was a Reggie Theus look-alike contest, 06-07
9. Mississippi State, 13-14
10. Trouncing Fullerton on Senior night with the electric atmosphere and Cardell Butler kissing the court, 03-04
11. BracketBuster win at Oral Roberts, 06-07
12. Setting a record with a 37-0 run at Idaho, 05-06
13. Stew Morrill grabbing the mic and telling us to stop throwing S*** on the floor, 01-02
14. Jaycee Carroll coming out party, Puget Sound, 04-05
15. Beating Cal State Northridge and chanting MC Hammer at their coach, 04-05
16. Wyoming in overtime in the Gossner, 08-09

Wayne Estes Regional

1. 1998-99 win over Utah which came in ranked high
2. Florida, 19-20
3. BYU when they had Araujo, 03-04
4. USC, 1999-00
5. Trouncing Boise in Boise for the WAC Championship when they were looking forward to celebrating it, 07-08
6. @ UC Irvine who the same year beat Kansas State in the NCAAs, 18-19
7. Utah on the three by Spicer, 06-07
8. San Diego State for our first win since joining the Mountain West, 18-19
9. Carroll Breaking record against Idaho, 07-08
10. Triple overtime 142-140 UNLV game, 1985
11. Northwestern, 04-05
12. All the trips to UVU, I decided to combine them into one slot
13. Stew Breaking record against Boise State, 07-08
14. Beating Long Beach State when their coach got ejected, 09-10
15. Idaho on senior night and the atmosphere we had, 10-11
16. @ Fresno in overtime after they made ¾ court shot, 08-09

Dutch Belnap Regional

1. @ Nevada our first year, 05-06
2. @ Utah, 2001-02
3. LSU, 19-20
4. UNLV Water Bomb, 1990
5. BYU when they had Jimmer, 09-10
6. Pacific when we held them to a long drought and they later that year beat Providence in the NCAAs, 03-04
7. Nevada when it got loud after Fox said Crowds have nothing to do, Stavon Williams scoring 8 straight, 08-09
8. UCSB highlighted by Butler Dunk, 03-04
9. USC in the opener, 2013-04
10. BYU, 05-06
11. Wichita State, 09-10
12. 40 point win over Cal Poly, after our 45 point football win against NMSU earlier that day, 08-09
13. The Yogi and Booboo poster when Stew came while at CSU
14. Stew Breaking the record with the win against Boise State, 07-08
15. Winning @ Montana State 100-70 in Smith’s first game, 18-19
16. @ Weber which ended a homecourt winning streak they had, 03-04

Rod Tueller Regional

1. Beating a Sweet Sixteen Utah team that had Andrew Bogut 71-45, 04-05
2. @ Minnesota, 97-98
3. Nevada, 18-19
4. BYU overtime game, 01-02
5. Saint Mary’s in Las Vegas, 18-19
6. Utah on the Tai Wesley shot with clock stopped and Jim Boylen throwing a fit, 08-09
7. Jumping on Fresno State 22-0, 09-10
8. Beating Iowa which made some people happy cause they have hats in the mall, 07-08
9. Boise comeback, 06-07
10. La Tech when they had Millsap, 05-06
11. Beating Hawaii on ESPN in our first year of the WAC. The lights went out so we chanted that we shot the lights out. Also notable that was that their prior visit to the Spectrum was the NIT game which we avenged, 05-06
12. Beating Northwestern State which beat Iowa in the NCAAs, 05-06
13. @ Colorado State, 18-19
14. @ Weber State in Duryea’s first game, 15-16
15. Winning @ UCSB on the Formisano tip in, 08-09
16. Getting over the humps and beating Hawaii and Fresno State in WAC play for the first time. Fresno State in 07-08, Hawaii in 08-09.

Willing at byu in 04 is a very weak 1 seed. Dont get me wrong it is the only win there in the last 30 years or so, but that was a last place terrible byu team. I'm seeing the first 1 seed to go down. Jaycee 44 pt as an 8 seed will take it down in the second round.

--Bracket buster win at Oral Roberts. I remember Durrall Peterson's face being on the front page of ESPN the next day.
--The night the students chanted at Fazekas to run like a man. Was that the Spicer win?
--Tai Wesley's buzzer beater over Utah, with Boylen loses it on the possession arrow.
--Beating Wichita State in the bracket busters, the best rendition of I Believe on the internet if I remember correctly.
--Didn't we beat Wyoming at the buzzer in the Gossner's one year?

I have updated the bracket to include Wichita State, Wyoming and Oral Roberts, replacing wins over Weber and Southern Utah I had and merged getting over the hump for our first road wins over Fresno and Hawaii into one slot. Students chanting at Fazekas is the 2 seed in the Wild Bill Regional. Tai Wesley's buzzer beater is the 6 seed in the Rod Tueller regional. Any other notable things I missed before we proceed with this bracket?
