This means New Mexico will not have their top 5 points per game players from last season.

He pretty clearly reveals it's because of the uncertainty created by the conference's decision to cancel football. I'm sure he won't be the only one.

Everybody is going to cancel football. Just a matter of time now. Could be completely over by the end of the week. So if that’s a major reason why he’s transferring, it a very premature decision.

I suspect he had to finish up a class or 2 this summer to graduate. Now he is a grad transfer..He is a solid player and my guess he will land at a P5 school for his senior year..Of course, it is entirely possible that college sports will all be shut down for a few years anyway..

If we are shut down for a few years, my life is pretty much over. I know it is sad, but it is also reality.

In more ways than just sports. Education, work etc. we have to find a way to move forward.

This. Look, I can get over my desire to have college sports. If I'm being realistic, it's not the end of the world and my life will go on. But my concern is on the players. A lot of these young men and women need athletic scholarships to get through college and get an education. If we postpone a single year or something, we can figure out a way to get around it. Weird, but we can make it work. If it's longer than that, we see a really painful impact on these young athletes' futures. The vast majority of them will not have careers in these sports, but they enable them to get a degree and build their character in ways that will help them succeed in life.

So, whatever to the fans and the organizations that exploit the student-athletes. I feel for the athletes and those who have careers in college athletics.

They might as well figure out right now that life isn't fair. People lost their businesses because of this. Life isn't fair. People died. Life isn't fair. I guess we can pull scholarships as well. Life isn't fair.
