Not that it makes much of a seeding difference, but CSU is boat-racing Nevada right now — 18-7. There’s a lot of game left. But I like the sound of “tied for second” and being the #2 seed better than “all alone in third” and being the #3 seed.

The UNLV loss continues to fester in me. It means a lot more now in retrospect than it did when we lost to the Rebels.

2 seed is ours for the taking. Really hope UNLV wins tomorrow, I would much rather face Fresno than UNLV on their home floor again

Forget the NET rating. We need to get to the finals of the tourney and maybe even win it to get to the Big Dance.

We just need to win tomorrow and we are the 2 seed. After seeing Boise fall in the make up game and now CSU going down in the make up game. I’m worried about us tomorrow.

There is already talk about how the conference has handled these make up games but if 3/4 of the tourney hopefuls all drop out of contention due to these games, there will probably be a some ruckus in the off season. Not to say that I believe we shouldn’t play them, I think we should.

this is true. we are not getting 4 teams in. maybe 3 if everything goes right, but 2 is more likely.

I have been rooting for 4 teams in but now it’s down to the wire and it’s every man for himself. CSU and Boise are just ahead of us in the NET and last teams in the tourney. We are on the outside. Them falling is to our benefit. I would think we move ahead of them in the NET and increase our chances of getting in. We just need to beat Fresno and then beat Fresno/UNLV and then beat CSU again. Get to the championship game hopefully against SDSU again. Win or lose we should be in.

perfectly stated. our net will now be right with CSU and Boise. considering where we were at after the boise losses things have went pretty well for the aggies to take get an at large bid. that being said there is a lot of work to be done. can't lose tomorrow to fresno or else you have to win the tournament.

Given similar NET ratings i would think the committee would look at conference standing. Head to head vs Boise doesn't help but if we go to finals and they only go to semis then I think a similar NET gets us on over them.

At this point I'm confident if we take care of business and win tomorrow and make the championship we'll get in. Boise State at this point likely has to upset San Diego State. San Diego State is the only team that is safe right now. Every other team likely has to make it to the title game or win the whole thing.

As I was watching the end of the Wolfpack, Rams game the refs really were idiots. The did get the CSU player being out of bounds but it was Nevada’s athletic director the had to point that out to the refs. They took forever trying to decide what to do at the end. The games that I have watched CSU play this year, they sure have had the benefit of the refs calls in my opinion. CSU seems to be the conferences darling this year. The league wants CSU to win it all!

I didn't like how the game was officiating, but I didn't see some strong bias for CSU. Yes there were some bad calls that benefited them, but there was bad calls that benefited Nevada too. Nevada got more free throws than CSU. It reminded me of the USU vs Nevada game in the Spectrum in 2019 with how the refs took over with so many foul calls.

All I have to say is Sherfield's going to be a sure problem in this league next year. He could be a player of the Year type candidate next year for the league. Whether we are a 2 or 3 seed in the tournament doesn't change much of what we have to do. The next three games are going to be big for us. We got to go 3-0 for at-large chances. I feel like everybody is trying to up their game now. We need to up ours.

Nah. If it comes down to us or csu in the tournament, it’s likely us now. It’s the better outcome in various ways. The committee isn’t an algorithm that says well csu is 51 in net instead of 49 so let’s punish usu.
