Well that sucks, hopefully they can get them re-scheduled. I hate the no contest, if they can't get them re-scheduled it should be a loss for the team with the covid cases.

It is clear Covid is here to stay. We need to take as much precaution but need to move on and stop cancelling everything for it (in my opinion).

Yeah there are precautions that need to be taken, but we absolutely need to quit cancelling everything.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 7:09 pmIt is clear Covid is here to stay. We need to take as much precaution but need to move on and stop cancelling everything for it (in my opinion).

We just need to move one of our Nevada games to this Saturday, rather it's the one in Reno or the one in Logan. Getting one of those games out of the way would free up a spot on both of our schedules for the makeup SJSU game.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 7:05 pmWell that sucks, hopefully they can get them re-scheduled. Just because they tested positive doesn't mean they are actually exhibiting symptoms. They play with the flu all the time for example.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 8:15 pmThe solution is to force sjsu to play while they're sick or????Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote:Yeah there are precautions that need to be taken, but we absolutely need to quit cancelling everything.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 7:09 pmIt is clear Covid is here to stay. Re: Game against SJSU postponed
I am not asking them to play sick, if they have symptoms sit them like they would for any other respiratory illness. If they don't have symptoms play like you would with any other respiratory illness. I know some people don't want to hear it. I certainly am not saying that my opinion is right just my take on the ongoing situation.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 8:15 pmThe solution is to force sjsu to play while they're sick or????Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote:Yeah there are precautions that need to be taken, but we absolutely need to quit cancelling everything.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 7:09 pmIt is clear Covid is here to stay. They need a "portal" where teams can try to find COVID cancellation pairs. Would sure be nice to bring someone in on Saturday who's in our same situation. Or even travel somewhere.

I'll be honest, I don't know the specifics of the San Jose State basketball team and their situation, but in a general sense it should go to the new NFL model where under their new policy, fully vaccinated, asymptomatic players and staff members are no longer subject to testing.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 8:15 pmThe solution is to force sjsu to play while they're sick or????Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote:Yeah there are precautions that need to be taken, but we absolutely need to quit cancelling everything.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 7:09 pmIt is clear Covid is here to stay. Great news for us. A Cancellation won’t hurt our NET. A Q4 game, even a win, likely would

It will be interesting to see if Miles can ever get their program going. I argued against hiring him when some suggested USU hire him, but he is their best hire in decades.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 10:23 pmGreat news for us. We should just shut everything down for a couple of years. No sporting events, no concerts, no large gatherings (25 or more) of any kind. No mass transportation, no international travel, no indoor dining. That should be a good start.

In that case, have us play in Reno Thursday and move our @ Air Force game to Saturday. Or keep our Air Force game where it's at but have us in Reno on Friday and move the New Mexico/ Nevada game to Sunday. Reno, Nevada doesn't have the culture of not doing things on Sundays that Utah does.treesap32 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 8:29 pmNevada hosts New Mexico in Reno on Saturday.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑December 26th, 2021, 8:08 pmWe just need to move one of our Nevada games to this Saturday, rather it's the one in Reno or the one in Logan. Another option is to get UNLV up here on Thursday January 6 to get that game out of the way creating an opening for both of us to make up our SJSU games.
Re: Game against SJSU postponed
Agreed. We should just shut it everything down until all risks are eliminated and let the government "do as I say not as I do" overlords take care of everything for us until then.

Looks like Nevada is headed to Lawrence on Wednesday. Congrats on snagging that game, Pack.

It looks like the ticket office is closed until the 4th. So what are we supposed to do about ticket changes?

Re: Game against SJSU postponed
I'm guessing that they'll wait to see if the game is rescheduled and if it is then your tickets will work for the new date. I split season tickets and this is one of my games so I'm definitely interested to see what ends up happening with this one.

So Nevada used their COVID cancellation of the SJSU game to get a game against Kansas. What are we gonna do? Hopefully something rather than nothing

Re: Game against SJSU postponed
I don't think we can do anything. Nevada lost other OOC games so they aren't at the limit for games. Kansas is technically replacing one of those other games. With the conference trying to make up missed games, if we were to schedule another game and then play SJSU we'd be over the limit of games allowed.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑December 27th, 2021, 1:06 pmSo Nevada used their COVID cancellation of the SJSU game to get a game against Kansas. Nevada lost 4, count em' 4 ooc games..Kansas is a replacement for 1 of those matchups..I would imagine they will play SJSU eventually..
