Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
I noticed on the scheduling page it shows USU hosting Bradley on 11/11. Has this been confirmed, i did not see any information coming out? If so that is a solid home game.

is this one of those "conference challenge" arrangements? MWC v. MVC, or something?Aggie84025 wrote: ↑August 16th, 2022, 11:41 amI noticed on the scheduling page it shows USU hosting Bradley on 11/11. It's a home and home series that was announced here:Aggie84025 wrote:I noticed on the scheduling page it shows USU hosting Bradley on 11/11. Has this been confirmed, i did not see any information coming out? If so that is a solid home game.

Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
Bradley struggled a bit last year and ended 12-16 but traditionally have a decent program. Best part of it is this means a 4 hour Aggie road trip for yours truly next year!ProvoAggie wrote: ↑August 16th, 2022, 2:29 pmIt's a home and home series that was announced here:Aggie84025 wrote:I noticed on the scheduling page it shows USU hosting Bradley on 11/11. Looks like Utah Tech (Dixie State) will be visiting the Spectrum on December 1 as a guarantee game (no return).

Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
So that's five (out of an allowable 10, plus the multi-team event): UVU, UTU, BYU, USF, Bradley. Assuming we play Weber as we always do, that leaves four games. Any news or good rumors on who they might be?
Is the MWC/A10 Challenge still a thing? I thought there was a four-year contract signed for that event back in 2019, but it was not played in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid concerns.
I noted that our women issued their OOC schedule today. Don't think they have the same scheduling challenges as the men

$75k for a guarantee game with Utah Tech! That seems pretty steep.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑August 18th, 2022, 10:06 amLooks like Utah Tech (Dixie State) will be visiting the Spectrum on December 1 as a guarantee game (no return).

I can understand the non con taking a long time, I’m not sure why the conference schedule is not out.

Is this the first season of the 20 games conference schedule?

Nice! 19 win team and finished 3rd in the Summit League last year. Not sure how they shape up for this year but should be a competitive home game.ProvoAggie wrote:

Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
They still have Max Abmas, the sharp-shooting guard who was the key to their Sweet Sixteen run in 2021. I think they’ll challenge for the Summit League again this year. Hope there’s a return game next year!AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑August 26th, 2022, 4:54 pmNice! 19 win team and finished 3rd in the Summit League last year. Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
so with only 3 games left (assuming we play Weber at home), would it be safe that the rest of these games would be away games? out of the 7 announced, only one is an away game (and it's not even a *true* away game)

Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
Last year we had zero away games outside of conference and in-state rivalry games. We stocked up on Neutral site games and to be honest, it paid off for the most part.

Would love to get another multi-team event, but would seem a bit late to be adding another
Go Aggies!
Re: 2022-2023 Basketball Schedule Update?
I think the schedule is a reflection that Ryan Odom needs to show improvement on last years record and with this schedule it shouldn't be a problem to show improvement.

I won’t deny that I had the thought — “Is this Odom scheduling down because he knows the roster sucks?”

sorry to resurrect an older thread, I haven't been looking at the Hoops forum for the summer....AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑August 16th, 2022, 2:58 pmBradley struggled a bit last year and ended 12-16 but traditionally have a decent program. I just checked the schedule, and saw the home game vs Bradley so looked to see the chatter.
I'm excited for this, like my fellow Iowan, I'm glad to have a close road game for me again! Although Aggie Hoops in Illinois wasn't been successful last time (NIT at ISU).
We've enjoyed weekend trips to Peoria - they have a great comedy club -The Jukebox. We've also been to the Civic Center and seen Jim Gaffigan and The Book of Mormon. Another trip we saw a play at the Bradley School of Arts which was very well done. The riverwalk down at East Peoria is nice, on the west side of the river there's a Dan Fogelberg Memorial, it's also Richard Pryor's hometown, there's a statue of him as well.

I’m looking forward to this and the Iowa football game. Hope to meet some of the Midwest board members next year.AGinNEIowa wrote: ↑October 1st, 2022, 7:59 amsorry to resurrect an older thread, I haven't been looking at the Hoops forum for the summer....AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑August 16th, 2022, 2:58 pmBradley struggled a bit last year and ended 12-16 but traditionally have a decent program.
