First Q1 game! I want to win badly, but think we fall just short.

You cats have a legit POY candidate coming off the bench. You play almost a whole roster of upperclassmen and extra year seniors. You have arguably the best all around transfer. You have excellent size across the board. The surprise is when you lose. Most of the MW is just blue collar grinders but you have a roster of Ferraris.

Re: Predict the Score - BB 1/7 @ Boise State
Boise has scored over 80 points in 4 of 15 games. I don't see them as a scoring threat. I see their defense as the culprit in our loss.

Re: Predict the Score - BB 1/7 @ Boise State
You just have to accept that you have the most loaded roster in the MW by a wide margin. Not even SDSU compares. That doesn't mean grinder teams with far less talent, experience and size can't give you a good test.slcagg wrote: ↑January 5th, 2023, 6:38 amLol. However, you just can't ride with that whole "plucky underdog" label you guys like to claim every year. The rest of us are the plucky underdogs..

Nice try @nvspuds you are very flattering, and I have respect for how you handle yourself on our board. You also picked up a nice win last night and have a 3-0 team. You have plenty to be excited about. Your team is no plucky underdog. Also, SDSU is the class of the conference athlete-wise.

Re: Predict the Score - BB 1/7 @ Boise State
I may, perhaps, be blowing more than a little smoke, but I do think you have the best roster in the conference.
As for the Pack, the most interesting thing about last night was that was Nevada's 13th win. They only had 13 wins, total, all last season..
Hard to say how they will hold up. 3 guys out for the season. 3 freshmen getting double figure minutes every night. The back up 5 is really a 3/4 and one of those freshmen. The starting PF is a 6' 6 guard: also a freshman. The PG is a senior but this is the first time he has every played the position.
All that may catch up to them down the stretch.
I just don't see any of those types of question marks in Baggieville these days.
