Is UNLV not quite as good as we thought? I mean, Boise certainly looked good against us, but I felt like most of that loss fell on our inability to hit wide open shots, including FTs.

They’re a good team, but due to their Coach often underperform. But they have a very high ceiling. Which is why they have bad losses or underwhelming games so far this year. (Losing to Santa Clara by 15). While also having some really good Wins. They also shot 54% from 3 last night, so if you shoot a lot of threes, and make at that clip you’re going to win. By a lot.

UNLV was ahead by 2 at halftime and Boise looked very beatable. I didn't watch the second half which must have been completely different from the first.

Boise was on fire from 3 in the 2nd half and played good defense. For 2 possessions in a row Akgo made a 3 and was fouled (poor execution by UNLV). Whiting also played really well. Not sure if the Aggies ever recruited him but he would have been a good pickup. Boise has a really good team. They defend really well and while they don't have big tall players they are very strong and physical. UNLV does not shoot the ball really well from 3 but have quick guards that can get to the rim, but Boise is pretty good at keeping the players in front of them. UNLV will be a challenge for the Aggies with their quickness and ability to drive. Be interesting to see how it plays out on Tuesday.

The win against UNLV was helpful to the Pack. The win over Boise in Reno is now a Q1 win.

What type of attendance is Nevada expecting tomorrow night? It for sure will be another tough road environment to play in. Hopefully the Aggies are more focused and locked in than at Boise.

Hey spuds, I've been shocked at how well Nevada has done this year despite the guys you lost last year. How do you think we match up?

I don't know. You have a older more experienced team. The Pack has been good at home. The low expectations for Nevada were reasonable preseason because nobody knew how much the freshmen would contribute. They have done pretty well.

I give credit to Timmy D. He's the game changer. He wasn't a good head coach but he is a damn good assistant coach.

I hope the coaches, team, and students are ready for when BSU comes to Logan. I can't stand BSU or the Rices. They always kick or a$$es in fb and recently they've owned us in bball.

Another wave of storms is moving over California starting tomorrow and lasting through Monday. I doubt you'll see many people coming from my side of the mountain.

I see Grant Sherfield is averaging 17.5 ppg for Oklahoma. From a USU perspective, it's nice to not have to try and defend him.

Winter must be longer in Reno. They might need a longer break.
