Odom < Duryea
Re: Odom < Duryea
It's obvious just looking at SDSU that they are bigger, stronger and more athletic. So is BS and Nevada, by the way. Recruiting to San Diego may be a bit different than Logan. We've seen what it takes to win championships in this league: talented, hard nosed players, a good coach, and, oh yeah....two future NBA players, who just don't come around very often. You don't go 19-6 as a sucky coach. I like him. I think he's a great coach and a great fit for our program. His recruiting prowess will be tested these next few years, but I like him. I liked his fire last night. We may need a little more of that. However, I do like that he's not out of control and constantly whining. It's a hard balance. That said, I think our boys need to flex a little more against teams like SDSU and take a punch to the mouth a little better, and this starts with less chatter with the refs. Play through it. Talking up a ref while you get beat down court never helped any team anywhere. We've got BS and Nevada at home to finish out, and a tournament to play. We are in the hunt, which is more than SJSU and their new coach can say right now.

Re: Odom < Duryea
This was a heck of a thread, my dudes. Sad to see the loss, but there's not a thing in the world to complain about. I started this season hoping we'd break .500 and look at us. Tough loss last night, but... I think this team is super fun. Even in a loss I'm loving watching these guys play. Odom is great.
FWIW, my 7 year old has done Ryan Odom basketball camp the past 2 years, and Coach Odom, his staff, and the players have been sincere and wonderful. I hope Odom sticks around for a few decades.
