Hopefully, they are quality recruits, not just warm bodies.
I think most of you would be happy if we snagged the three dudes that have already been here this week.
So they’ve already been here but didn’t commit.
That's not necessarily true. It could have happened but no one has heard about it yet.

Sprinkle may be like Stew. He didn't want any recruiting info coming out until the whole group was signed, sealed and delivered.

It's been pushed down the thread list now since it's been a while but here is the thread on it:

I love the cloak and dagger approach.

Let's extend an invitation to our old friend Ray J Dennis who just entered the portal from Toledo. Averaged 19.5 ppg, 36.6 3 pt % and 2.9 A/TO ratio. 48% shooting percentage which indicates he likes to take it to the hoop which is how I remember him.

I wouldn’t doubt if a p5 team lost out on a player and came in and offered Rayj some cash to transfer

Exactly my thoughts as well. Seems late to portal without a plan already in place.

Yikes -- so far guys on 22's list have committed to Bowling Green and Oakland. Hopefully this just means they're the back up plans.

There is a variety of reasons players choose where they will play.

I would have to imagine guys being brought in for visits are targets and we may have some commits that have not been announced and school will announce once signed.

Hopefully start hearing of some signings soon

I’m not gonna be surprised if it ends up being harder then our coach thought. That said I appreciate that he’s going after players our old coach wouldn’t have considered.

We lost out on Drake Allen who is going to UVU.
Dang, that really hurts to read as an SUU fan. I hate UVU more than anyone else, since they're the only ones who I have a negative experience with that goes beyond trash talking. One of their fans started a fight with an SUU fan I was at the game with and then all their fans online blamed us for starting the fight. I was so obvious to anyone who was around where to fight happened, but the UVU fans just assumed it was us because it was in our area. So because of that I really don't like UVU and it really hurts to see a player transfer from SUU to there.

So are we really losing recruiting battles to the likes of UVU, Bowling Green, and Oakland? I am finding that sort of hard to believe.

It’s time for some commits, staff. This is getting kinda weird.

Spurge followed his coach. That can make a huge difference. Idk what Drake Allen was thinking with UVU. Maybe it's a close to home thing or playing time or both. Who did Oakland beat us for?

We still don't have our final coach either. We hear arguments as to why there's no commits or a final coach yet, and they seem logical and make sense. However, when you look across the landscape and what's happening elsewhere, we're behind the 8 ball here and this is not consistent with the landscape across college bball.

Was about to post the same. We're three weeks into this hire and we've filled a single roster spot with somewhere between 5-7 spots to go, we have only had 2 assistant coaches named, and we only have confirmation that 1 out of 3 HS recruits is still committed. I didn't expect to have a full roster by now but I did think we'd at least have a full staff and more than 1 commit.

I thought I read Dixon was named the third coach?

Dawson baker canceled his visit to boise. I think byu was his last visit before doing so. If I had to project I would guess he is byu bound. But hope I’m wrong.

I am not 100% positive but I think he visited BYU the same week as usu. He was then supposed to visit Boise and Utah the same week. Maybe Smith was able to convince him that playing in a 15k stadium with the upper half curtained off and the environment of a funeral was the best spot for him.
