Nice to see that Sprinkle agreed to a real buyout.

Awesome info! Thanks for requesting and digging and explaining.
If you wanted you could update the fun fact to say: The Aggies and Aztecs have met in 3 of the last 4 4 of the last 5 Mountain West Tournament Championships.

Ah! Good find. That's what I meant to say but my brain didn't cooperate. I'll fix it.

Thanks for posting. Of course, we haven't learned our lesson at Utah State by adding in a stipulation that the school schedule us home/home if they buy out his contract. BIG mistake!treesap32 wrote: ↑May 5th, 2023, 1:22 pmRead All About It.

I found this part interesting. Hmmm. "Coach Smith had the built in raises, whereas coach Odom’s salary stayed stable at $800K per year for 5 years." Any questions about Odom?

Yep...it's something we'd like, but I'm not sure Sprinkle or anyone else would want to handcuff or dictate who his next employer schedules. And some just plain wouldn't want to be in a position to have to come back and compete against his past recruits.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑May 5th, 2023, 6:30 pmThanks for posting. Re: Coach Sprinkle's Contract With Utah State
I though that was really strange that they didn't build any raises into his contract. Maybe that was because he negotiated hard on a low buyout.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑May 5th, 2023, 6:30 pmThanks for posting. Re: Coach Sprinkle's Contract With Utah State
I'm entirely confident we got the $800k number, not the $1.2 million number.
