I would say hurt, but if any team were to beat them. We would’ve want them.

they have lost 3 in a row though, Akron might be a better win.

The answer is wait for tomorrow.
Bradley will stay Q2.
Arkon gets closer to Q2.

Southern Utah giving Utah a game late in the 2nd half.. 63-59 for Utah. That would help us and is just enjoyable haha

That loss to Bradley stings, having an undefeated OOC would’ve helped offset the horrible schedule

Utah was also missing their best (and only really good) player, Brandon Carlson.

Suu falls to 2-6 on the year.

I'm not seeing how the schedule has been that horrible thus far we're sitting at 34 in the NET.

I actually think this helps out. We really want that Akron game to be a Q2 win. Better wins help more than a loss hurts us. We need to rack up as many Q1/Q2 wins as possible (We only have one right now). Akron needs to get to be top 100 to be Q2 and they're at #128 right now.

We probably have about 7 chances left at Q1 wins and 4 more chances at Q2 wins.

Anyone want to resurrect the "Hats in the Mall" argument? It's been probably 15 years.

It’s been so long that malls have basically gone extinct.

I'm not seeing how the schedule has been that horrible thus far we're sitting at 34 in the NET.
Look NET has its pros and cons, but it’s pretty obvious beating up on bad teams can help you pad your NET while not helping you out come selection Sunday. We were top 20 in NET last year and got a 10 seed. Miami beat the #343 team in NET by 60 or something and moved up 20 spots yesterday.

It’s great that NET takes into account efficiency metrics relative to the schedule, and other aspects of our play thus far. But we only have 1 top 120 win and since it was at home that might even end up a Q3. Our only chance at a quality win in OOC that will have any pull come March is SF. We are going to have to win lots of big games in MW play to overcome our lack of quality OOC wins

I don’t think it’s a hot take at all to say our OOC schedule is not good. We are taking care of business which is all we can do.

Because it’s not horrible.
It’s objectively much worse than last year, a year in which we were 18 in NET on selection Sunday and got a 10 seed. Only 1 chance at a top 50 win and might end up with only 1 q1/2 win in OOC play depending on how things shake out.

Gotta make up for it with some strong conference wins, thankfully we will get quite a few opportunities this year.

The Aggies will have lots of opportunities in conference to pick up Q1/2 victories. @ Santa Clara is currently a Q2 game and neutral against SF is currently a Q1 opportunity. Irvine and Bradley are both top 100 in the net as well.

Every one is on the borderline. If we beat SF we can leave OOC with 2 top 100 wins, last year we had 5 and still got shafted. Granted we had 2 bad losses also

For sure, the OOC schedule is not great. All the Aggies can do is to win and not lose head scratching bad losses.

Did we get shafted last year? I feel like the NCAA committee has treated us fairly since the NET came out.

As long as we win it doesn’t matter. Q1 losses don’t hurt too bad, any Q1 wins are big boosters. We saw last year a large amount of Q2-Q3 wins is very respectable, especially if we can keep winning games by a good margin. Don’t want to sprinkle in Q3-Q4 losses though like last year 🥲
