Has there ever been a topic on this message board that has more support than Sam Merrill doing well in the NBA? I dare say it is 100% of this board that are happy with his success. I think NVspuds may even be happy about it.

Though he doesn't have as many takes as a lot of others, he is sitting at #2 in the league in 3PT percentage.

He sits at about 119 our of 293 in 3PT attempts per game among those that have made at least one 3pt attempt this year.

I also created a derived stat of "3PT made per min played". Sam is #1 at 0.1743. The next closest is Steph Curry at 0.1416. There are currently 18 players with that stat >0.1.

I have to admit, that a month ago I felt that Sam and Nemi were never going to break through for meaningful PT in the NBA. Jimmy V is smiling...."never give up".

Good old KJZZ is only on our tv downstairs with the antenna. I took our almost one year old down there to enjoy it. Sam was awesome!

I saw that too. Unfortunately, he continues to end up on the floor after every layup attempt. I thought that got coached out of him a couple of years ago.

This fan thread went places I never expected. The part when people start writing a romance novel-style dialogue between Sam leaving one lover (the Jazz) for his new lover (the Cavs) was incredible. My wife and I were cracking up. Good job by them.
