Cleveland started out the season just OK. Then Sam got playing time and confidence and Cleveland went on a long winning streak. Then the injured 'starters' came back, Sam's time was cut and the Cavs have just been OK. Seems to be a pretty good in-season correlation. I'm sure there are other variables but it is a pretty stark. If the Cavs left Sam off the playoff roster they would deserve to lose in the first round.

I've been keeping up with Sam all year. I don't think it even crossed the front office mind to leave him off the roster. They love him over there!

He was getting covered good against a big lineup and it was getting chippy. He should have had 3 free throws. Shoved hard in the back while shooting beyond the arc.
