Every Monday for the last 4 Mondays we've heard great news about signings or players staying at USU. I'm hoping this Monday is no different!

I am hearing that there will be a big guy commit out of the portal tomorrow, I guess we’ll see how reliable my source is.

I’m not going to get my hopes up when money like this is being floated around for a big man not on Greats level.

I mean, if you already have 2M, or you’re turning down 2M for 1.5M and a better situation… 2M in a vacuum would be enough to get me to do just about anything.

Just remember NIL deals are like fishing stories. No one actually ever sees these contracts. Most aren't anywhere near what is what is reported. They use a lot of fuzzy Math to make the numbers add up. If they lease you a 70k truck, you aren't getting 70k cash.

That’s my thought as well. They probably factor in an apartment or other non-liquid assets as well. It’s the only thing that makes sense in my mind anyway because the numbers being thrown around are getting increasingly absurd.

But if you're getting 800k are you getting an 800k vehicle?

If your getting 800k it's not all cash. I'm not saying Guy's like Great aren't going to make a ton of money. I'm more saying the guys they say got 100k, most isn't in cash.

Is there anything in NIL rules that allows something like this: $X as baseline but $5X if team reaches Sweet 16?
