Promotion for Andy Hill

We need to keep the whole coaching staff as much as possible.

Wonder what was up with the mid year promotion? I don’t disagree that it was due, but why do it mid-year? Was he getting outside offers to get poached mid season?

Just getting out ducks line up for a speedy hiring process when Sprinkle leaves after this year.

This is on the bio of Andy Hill.
Hill joins the Aggies after spending the previous season working as an assistant for current USU head coach Danny Sprinkle at Montana State. He has been named by Silver Waves Media to the top 75 Rising Assistant Coaches and top 100 Most Impactful Assistant Coaches lists several times over the last few years while at Utah, New Mexico and Montana State.

I legitimately think our basketball league has a chance to be a Power league. If Gloria would pull her head out and get Gonzaga, Saint Mary’s, Memphis and Witchita State to come aboard we would be the replacement for the Pac 12in the P6.

And if that’s the case we’re going to start seeing our basketball coaches staying around for longer.

This is what you do to treat people the right way. You don't have to wait until the end of the season or the annual performance review. When someone deserves a promotion or raise you do it. Doesn't matter if there were other offers or not, I love the effort of being proactive vs reactive. Kudos to Coach Sprinkle and the AD for recognizing talent and valuing the staff.

If you saw the way this coaching staff works together at practice, you would be blown away. This is such a cohesive group. They really respect each other.

It means he is the top assistant, if Sprinkle can't coach for what ever reason, gets sick or ejected. Hill would take over.
