SJSU
Anybody else excited to watch a basketball game Wednesday? It feels like it has been 2 weeks since the AF game. Let’s talk SJSU.
We beat them handily in the spectrum. They haven’t come close to beating any of the top 7 teams in the MWC this season, getting blown out most of the time. Except against SDSU. They have kept it very close in both games vs the Aztecs. This will be their final game of the regular season, and Senior night as well. We have a lot on the line, they have nothing to lose.

Re: SJSU
This one has me nervous. San Jose is such a weird place to play. Their gym is weird and fan support is nonexistent. We’ve had plenty of games there that ended up a lot closer than they should have.

Re: SJSU
I am super nervous about this game. They will play hard and shoot the 3 ball pretty well. I am guessing they will pack the paint similar to the last games that Aggie opponents have employed. I expect the Aggies will be super motivated. Hopefully they can get up early and keep the foot in the petal. The longer it is close the more it will be like the Fresno game.

Re: SJSU
Very nervous because of San Jose's last game at home. Not sure how many seniors they have on the team but they're going to want to send them out on a win.

Re: SJSU
Nah, Senior Night will help. The stadium is usually eerily empty and quiet, making it weird to play in. Now there will be a modicum of fan support because families and friends will be there to cheer on the seniors.

Re: SJSU
I am nervous because our team hasn't really played as well lately. We nearly lost to a wounded Fresno team last week if not for a miracle three to send it to overtime. San Jose is no joke and will beat us if we don't play well. They have no one to guard Great, but he hasn't exactly been amazing since the SDSU game.

Re: SJSU
Any idea if Danny’s getting a charter for this game? I think that’s huge not only for this game but to get back and prep for NM.

Re: SJSU
That is not true. If Boise beats Nevada and then loses to SDSU the Aggies would be tied for first place if they beat NM. If there is a tiebreaker between SDSU, Boise and USU the Aggies would win due to the record against the other 2. If there is a tiebreaker between UNLV, Boise and USU the Aggies would also win the tiebreakers due to record against the other 2. Now if the Aggies lose 1 game and Nevada wins out they would hold the tiebreaker against the Aggies.

Re: SJSU
In the SJSU vs SDSU game, Cbssports ran a graphic showing SJSU's recent record against ranked teams - it was really bad. I wish I could remember it. I feel like they've lost 30+ straight to ranked teams. Hope we extend that streak, and that we don't let them break it.

Re: SJSU
I want to see us finally some out and control the pace of the game. We should out rebound them by a lot, and I want to see a lot of fast break points off those rebounds. Push the pace off of defensive rebounds and steals, but slow it down and dominate in the half course all other possessions. I feel that we are playing to the level of our opponents the last month, and this needs to change.

Re: SJSU
It will come down to if Great plays well or not. Last time they simply did not have an answer for him. (He shot 19 free throws)Hopefully this time is the same.

Re: SJSU
Are you trying to jinx the Aggies! Hopefully we crush them and it is not considered a “lucky” win!Aggie702 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2024, 10:53 amIn the SJSU vs SDSU game, Cbssports ran a graphic showing SJSU's recent record against ranked teams - it was really bad.
