Senior night
Saturday is Brown’s night. I was wondering if the Hurd has anything planned to celebrate Darius? He’s been SO big for us, I just want him to feel loved and appreciated! What if we chant his name the entire game?

Re: Senior night
The Hurd should all show up wearing UPS costumes...what can brown do for you. lol.
Senior night is different now. Very rare to have seniors that have been in your system their entire college careers. While I appreciate what Brown has down for this team, his senior night won't feel nearly as special as it would for a guy that has given us four years. Also, odds are there are other guys on the roster playing their final game in the Spectrum and we/they don't even know it yet.

Re: Senior night
Yeah I love brown and he deserves all the love from Aggie fans, but it is definitely a different vibe with players who are only at USU for a year compared to guys who were at USU 4-5(sometimes 7 if you include missions).Aggie702 wrote: ↑March 7th, 2024, 11:32 amThe Hurd should all show up wearing UPS costumes...what can brown do for you. lol.

I plan on seeing Brown celebrate with the HURD on the court after the Aggies beat NM and win the conference outright.

Re: Senior night
I think we could start to guess and get at least one right but in deference to our players I won't start a list. Probably only 1 player that I wouldn't want back and hope that some of the others improve in areas to get more time on the floor and give Osobor a break.aggies22 wrote: ↑March 7th, 2024, 12:06 pmI guarantee you, we will have some of our scholarship dudes not return next year.AggieIceCream05 wrote: ↑March 7th, 2024, 12:00 pmForeshadowing? I'd really like to know how Dallin Grant and Phelps have been doing in practice? Anyone have any reports on their progress? Or on progress of guys that just don't see the court much this year.

Re: Senior night
Isn't Max technically a senior (or graduate student) with expiring eligibility as well? Do we know if they're honoring him on Saturday too, since we don't have word yet on his medical exemption?
Seems like we had a few cases the past few years where there was uncertainty and the student athlete was honored even if they ultimately went on to play another year. Am I remembering that wrong? Does each staff decide how they're going to handle situations like that, or is there a "rule" for how it plays out?
I hope we do something just in case. He helped solidify our foundation and culture on this team early on; I'm grateful for him and hope Aggie Nation shows him love...

I for one will be camping outside the spectrum tonight to get front row for tomorrow. If I freeze it will be worth it.

Re: Senior night
Why? I’ll come help him pack his (I can't express myself without swearing) if he wins a couple NCAA tourney games on the way out, but the most likely ending to this is we flame out in round one as per always (especially with this all in the air) and then Danny guts the team.
In this scenario, Danny is basically a carpet bagger/strip miner that used our program’s star to create and raise his own profile. Respectfully, ten months ago no one in the College Basketball world really knew who this guy was and now he’s a household name.
The story here is that USU has springboarded yet another good coach who is likely to leave us with nothing of lasting importance.

We shouldn't pretend like there isn't some way to funnel money to international players. Bagmen still exist.

Regret to inform you there’s a solid 20-30 students outside the spectrum already and there’s more coming. Most students I know are staying for this game. The HURD will be there tonight.

Re: Senior night
Why before every game, do we question if the students will show up? We have been here all season. Even if the student section isn’t completely full, we are still loud and provide the home court advantage. How about the rest of the fans show up today too by getting loud?
