VCU
Shula having quite the game 10-11 and 23 points
Bairstow 6-13 and 13 points
VCU could be a first round opponent should they hold on and win tomorrow.
Can you imagine the meltdown if we play them and lose in first round.
Also how about all the former aggies playing this year.

But don't Odom's team $hit the bed in the NCAA Tournament? Or is that just while the coach is at Utah State?SpectrumMagic wrote: βMarch 16th, 2024, 12:51 pmShula having quite the game 10-11 and 23 points

Unless Odom plays UVA which are the king of bed $hitters. Little know fact and never mentioned is that Odom coached a #16 seed to victory over a #1. He's also the only coach to lose a player to the portal that could throw the football over 65 yards.aggies22 wrote: βMarch 16th, 2024, 12:54 pmBut don't Odom's team $hit the bed in the NCAA Tournament? Re: VCU
Ryan Odom arguably has the greatest victory in NCAA history. He was good at Utah State. He has had a solid, not great 1st year. I know there is a narrative out there that when coaches leave USU they suck, but itβs not true.Bank Shot wrote: βMarch 16th, 2024, 12:58 pmUnless Odom plays UVA which are the king of bed $hitters. Re: VCU
This game is a fun watch, but these teams don't seem very good after a full season of watching Mnt West basketball.
Lot of 1 v 1, unforced turnovers, haven't seen anyone chest up on defense.

Re: VCU
Of all the head coaches who have left USU since Stew retired, which ones have even made the NCAA tournament as a head coach, let alone in a first year? Speaks to the special nature of Logan and USU. It's time for us to actually quantify what that looks like financially/monetarily and write it into future contracts. I'm game to figure it out. Any other Moneyballers on here? If the Spectrum provides an additional 5-6 wins per year, what is the value of that?

Eustachey and ladell are probably the only ones and they didn't do it in their first yearAhbye wrote: βMarch 17th, 2024, 1:24 pmOf all the head coaches who have left USU since Stew retired, which ones have even made the NCAA tournament as a head coach, let alone in a first year? Ladell left to coach the Utah Stars. He came back as the AD and left that to coach at BYU.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: βMarch 17th, 2024, 1:33 pmEustachey and ladell are probably the only ones and they didn't do it in their first yearAhbye wrote: βMarch 17th, 2024, 1:24 pmOf all the head coaches who have left USU since Stew retired, which ones have even made the NCAA tournament as a head coach, let alone in a first year? Exactly. Didn't win in his first year away from USU. Eustachey had a great Iowa St tournament run but it was in year 2Donman wrote: βMarch 17th, 2024, 2:02 pmLadell left to coach the Utah Stars. Yeah his epic melt down when they lost was hilarious. Did he get a double tech and tossed at the very end of the game?Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: βMarch 17th, 2024, 2:08 pmExactly. Yep his team completely choked down the stretch in the elite 8. Thrown out with 10 seconds left.Elkaggie wrote: βMarch 17th, 2024, 2:32 pmYeah his epic melt down when they lost was hilarious.
