TV Programming Alert! Turn to CBS Sports
On the Bracket Breakdown show, they just said that they'll be talking about USU (and to coach Danny Sprinkle?) after the commercial break. Right now on CBS Sports.
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case.

Danny sounded a little sick. Maybe he wasn't feeling well during the MW tournament? (Limit on the snarky checked out replies please)

Any summary of what he said? I turned it on right in time to see him say “Go Aggies” and leave.

He talked a lot about the Seattle housing market and teaming up with a great realtor and mortgage broker, though, with a wink he hinted he probably wouldn't need a mortgage. Said the bar scene is off the hook up there. Oh, and "Go Aggies!"

He did not say any such thing. It was requested earlier in this thread to AVOID those kind of replies.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑March 17th, 2024, 7:16 pmHe talked a lot about the Seattle housing market and teaming up with a great realtor and mortgage broker, though, with a wink he hinted he probably wouldn't need a mortgage. I am glad it was the TV guys who kept harping on the seed, not Danny.

Sprinkle so genuine. “Are you going to use bad seed as motivation in locker room?”
“Yes.”
“Yes.”

He was getting IVs in his office right before the tournament. I think he posted it on InstagramSection_L_Aggie wrote:Danny sounded a little sick. Maybe he wasn't feeling well during the MW tournament? (Limit on the snarky checked out replies please)

Hopefully he can find time to scout tcu in between all the interviewing and new recruiting he’s doing.

Re: TV Programming Alert! Turn to CBS Sports
I am sure that coaches, like everyone, have times when they are distracted by the realities of life. That being said, I find the notion that coaches or players at this level check out to be absurd. They don't make it this far if they are not intensely competitive. They take great pride in winning and realize that every win and loss is a reflection on how good they are. The good coaches also want to win because they care about their players. Whether Danny is staying or leaving I don't expect him to check out.

I agree. I believe that Danny cares about the kids and the program, regardless of what happens next. I'll hate it if he leaves, but I'm certain he cares.gomretat wrote: ↑March 18th, 2024, 9:06 amI am sure that coaches, like everyone, have times when they are distracted by the realities of life. Re: TV Programming Alert! Turn to CBS Sports
I am hoping there’s no distraction. In Danny’s case, this may be the last time he coaches in the NCAA tourney in his career —especially if he lands in Washington. You just never know. This is certainly the last time Darius will get to play in the tourney. May be the last time any of our players get to play in the tourney — you get four-ish shots as a player. Would be a travesty to phone it in when you’re there just because you’ll be moving on to a new school soon.

Re: TV Programming Alert! Turn to CBS Sports
The team for sure will not be checked out. Listening to Danny yesterday you could tell the team thought they should have been seeded higher. Whether or not the Aggies win I don't know but the team will be prepared and fired up for the challenge. Just hope they go out and get a win.gomretat wrote: ↑March 18th, 2024, 9:06 amI am sure that coaches, like everyone, have times when they are distracted by the realities of life. Re: TV Programming Alert! Turn to CBS Sports
Did the team also think they should have put Fresno State away before the overtime period and held a 17 point lead on SDSU? That would have been more effective than complaining about the seed they got.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑March 18th, 2024, 9:50 amThe team for sure will not be checked out. Re: TV Programming Alert! Turn to CBS Sports
Great point. I certainly hope the coaches and players don’t go home with any regrets. Rollie Worster started a tourney game as a true freshman and hasn’t been close to getting back since he transferred. Merrill only ever got one shot at it. Nothing is guaranteed.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑March 18th, 2024, 9:36 amI am hoping there’s no distraction.
