Re: MW watch party
They had no business putting the Buffs in the play-in after the PAC tourney run. Boyle runs a quality program and had done so for many years, keeping the academic department afloat (along with the even better WBB program) through years of football irrelevance. He had a great team this year, as always.

Not MW related, but in the other 8-9 matchup, Michigan State (9) is currently up over Mississippi St. (8) 31-24 at the half.

Michigan state came out really hot. so did duquesne. I think those two games go opposite directions though.

NCAA tournament stats
Ashworth in 8 minutes with Creighton hit as many 3s as he did 55 minutes with the Aggies.

Re: MW watch party
Boise State and BYU are similar in that they both play good basketball in the regular season then struggle in late season/March.

Re: MW watch party
We have struggled in the NCAA tournament, but BYU and Boise State crash and burn before then.
BYU basketball has always impressed me in how a team can have a hot start to the season then.

While I loved seeing BYU lose today, I'd argue they've been better than us in the postseason. Source: 2001. Hopefully, we can start a new chapter in our NCAA history tomorrow.aggiesdotcom wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 12:56 pmNo but don't spoil this moment

Can we schedule February BYU games like what Gonzaga did with Kentucky.

Big 12 is overrated.
San Francisco nearly beat Cincy in Cincy.
BYU loses to a mid-major.
UCF lost to South Florida.
Kansas State lost to Iowa.

Re: MW watch party
For sure they have been better but they also have had higher seeds. When they went to the sweet 16 they were a 3 seed. They got the easiest team out of any of the 5/6 seeds and lost. The Aggies have sucked but have only been the favored seed in 1 game since 2001. This year will be the 2nd.travelingagg wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 1:02 pmWhile I loved seeing BYU lose today, I'd argue they've been better than us in the postseason. Source: 2001. Despite being the favored seed, Vegas (the people that really know) have us as dogs.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 1:25 pmFor sure they have been better but they also have had higher seeds. We've never gotten a favorable match up in the tournament. In aggregate, we still should have won a few games, but there has never been a single game that was more than a toss-up.

Re: MW watch party
Looks like we could see another 11 vs 6 seed upset, Oregon taking leading South Carolina at the half 34-29
Nevada hanging point to point with Dayton.

Lucas is really stuggling. He has to get going for them to win this game. I wish some of these MW teams would have played so timid when they played us this year lol.

Yes. Looking at the score - they got a good surge at the end of the half. Lucas hasn't really started going yet, either.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 3:35 pmNevada turned it on the last 5 minutes. They are in good position.

I made 2 half-hearted brackets.
1 of the 2 is really struggling while the other is perfect.
Anyone else made a bracket that is still perfect.
