I guarantee Indiana State would be playing better against CSU than this. Virginia is an embarrassment.

I'm surprised how long it takes to get the ball in his hands. He doesn't even bring it up the court.Bank Shot wrote:Sometimes I feel like Stevens is too unselfish. But that's what makes them tick.

Not common for a guy that gifted to give up the ball that often and easily.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 8:45 pmI'm surprised how long it takes to get the ball in his hands. Colorado State is not even playing their A game.
If they were, they would be up by 40.

Re: MW watch party
Are play-in games considered NCAA tournament wins? I mean, you're playing to "get in". Not discounting anyone's win, but is it the same as winning a true first round game? Me thinks not.
The amount of energy necessary to refute bull pucky is an order of magnitude greater than to produce it.

They absolutely are. The conference gets the same amount of credits for a first four win as it does a first round win.AggieBlues wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 8:54 pmAre play-in games considered NCAA tournament wins? Re: MW watch party
It counts as winning in the tournament. You get paid the same as you do for a win in any other round. Four of the teams also won their conference tournament and got an autobid so they're not playing to get into the tournament. They're playing to get into the main bracket.AggieBlues wrote:Are play-in games considered NCAA tournament wins? I mean, you're playing to "get in". It does not count as advancing and if a team is 0-9 all time like boise and they win a play in, I'd still consider that as yet to win aka yet to advance.

They are NCAA tournament wins, but you are not wrong in who plays in the games and what games are for.AggieBlues wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 8:54 pmAre play-in games considered NCAA tournament wins? I wonder if the 16s prefer a play in for this reason. Gives them a chance to make some money.Aggie84025 wrote:They absolutely are. I find myself cheering for Rammies pretty hard. Cheering for Boise tomorrow is game time decision. Right now I just don’t see it happening.

Colorado State made some bad passes and missed their 3s. Colorado State is still up by 20.

Re: MW watch party
It's actually a good opportunity for them to win a game and get an extra credit against the team that they match up favorably with. So I'm guessing they do enjoy it especially when they win.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 8:57 pmI wonder if the 16s prefer a play in for this reason. What are people saying on Twitter about this blowout? Is anyone tweeting that MWC was poorly seeded or tying this game to the committee's P5 bias?

Some brief chatter about mwc being underseeded. Way more talk that Virginia shouldn't have made the field.travelingagg wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 9:29 pmWhat are people saying on Twitter about this blowout? Is anyone tweeting that MWC was poorly seeded or tying this game to the committee's P5 bias?

Yes but the same jerseys won the national championship in 2019! It’s only been five years after all.Aggie702 wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 9:32 pmSome brief chatter about mwc being underseeded. Re: MW watch party
Apparently the BPI discounts teams that play at elevation because ESPN doesn't feel like teams from elevation have the same advantage when they play closer to sea level.dogie wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 9:33 pmBut Colorado State had the unfair advantage of playing and practicing this season at an elevation of 5,800 feet.sam tingey wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 9:26 pmVirginia never should have been in the tournament. Re: MW watch party
To make it fair I think the NCAA should subtract a few points from CSU score. Maybe subtract 5 points since they practice at high altitude, sooo their final score should be like 62 to 42

Re: MW watch party
I had to go and check this fact, but it's true. Virginia finished higher in the standings than Clemson. What does that say about the Clemson vs New Mexico game if the transitive property were true?
