Yes, Deivon Smith is a very good player would love to see him end up in Logan but would guess he may get some good offers from high profile teams.

If we can retain most of our team you probably could grab a guy of that caliber to play pg that wants to try to make a run

I wanted Dusell last year, and I want him even more now.

When he’s hot and on his game he is the best shooter in the Mountain West and one of the best in the nation.

Pretty sure he said after the mwc tourney he wasn't going anywhere and was excited to come back. Things change fast these days

That is a bummer especially after he already told UNLV his intentions were to stay. He will have some huge offers, the guy is a baller.

Hollywood would not believe this story.

First year coach comes in with zero returning minutes from previous year. Coach wins the regular season MWC championship for the first time in school history. Team goes on to win first game in theNCAA tournament in over 20 years. Coach leaves and entire team enters portal. By the way, this movie would SUCK (I can't express myself without swearing)!!!!

Looks like Combs and Manyawu from WYO have just entered the portal. Good hell Linder is losing most of his team again to the portal. Manyawu has a bright upside and lots of potential.

And then a new coach comes, promises something that would go down in history. Assembles a team chalk full of slept on talent. AND WINS THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! Then shortly after their parade signs a lifetime extension with the school.

Conference is being gutted again. As a fan it’s easy to get “upset” when team keeps losing guys and coaches. I mean if there were a transfer portal for everyday jobs like CPA’s, financial services, attorney, engineering etc I think none of us would think twice if we could get some of the numbers being handed out.

I’m sure Thomas intended to stay but if he’s being offered 500-1 million how do you turn that down

How many of these kids are NIL recipients vs. kids that just want a new place to play. How many are going to get stuck in the portal and not find a team? It seams that some one posted last year that the number of kids being stuck and not finding a landing spot was on the rise.

I think you will see a lot lateral moves. The MW is already very incestous with guys that have played with multiple teams within the conference.
