I don't disagree but the sooner he kicks us in the nuts the sooner we can get an ice pack for comfort and get ready to court another coach.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑March 25th, 2024, 2:40 pmI wish we could have (somehow) been given longer than 10 miutes to enjoy our first tournament win before Sprinkle sh*t his pants against Purdue and then kicked us in the nuts on the way out.

Great doesn't need Coach Sprinkle's help to find a place to play next year if he want$ to move on.

Don't be dumb. Question will be who be who did it worse, Odem, Smith or Sprinkle? Smith went to Utah but did leave us some talent. Odem probably stole all the pencils and staples from his office.ChowderAggie wrote: ↑March 25th, 2024, 2:48 pmSomebody get this post to Danny. Course not. But it doesn't mean he has to proactively recruit him to Washington.

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
Sounds like Sprinkle will be hiring 1-2 new assistants. This could get interesting with Andy Hill, Eric Brown, Eric Haslam & Johnny Hill. Who does he take??

For sure he takes Haslam as he is the big guy coach and Great would probably follow Haslam to Washington. Not sure on the others.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑March 25th, 2024, 3:03 pmSounds like Sprinkle will be hiring 1-2 new assistants. Would you really waste the earnings of a hard fought bet on a sub-standard swill like Bud Light?Aggie in Boise wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2024, 12:41 pmYou mean like you were with the bet about us getting a 7 seed or better.ViAggie wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2024, 12:24 pmFor what it's worth (take that for what it's worth), I'm not hearing this. That doesn't mean we're not losing Sprinkles at the end of this season though. I'm always suspicious of this kind of stuff getting "leaked" right before a big game/tournament, etc.; it's almost like it's meant to hurt us. And I'm not blaming anyone in this thread, but there are people out there, some who lurk here, who would like to hurt us for their gratification and it wouldn't surprise me to see them "leak" (make what seems like an easy prediction) something like this.
I could be wrong.
BTW, you still owe me a bud light.
Have a little respect for your palate.

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
Someone asked the guy on twitter that posted it and he replied "it was signed today." But that's not the right question. What you really want to know is when the particulars were agreed to between Danny's agent and the university. Sounds like that was done in Feb. Signing was just formalizing it.Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑March 25th, 2024, 2:55 pmCan anyone public records request to see when the MOu was signed?

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
Osobor's only tie with USU was the coach. He's the most likely guy gone with Sprinkle. It's a shame but it is what it is. The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal giveth away. It's going to go against us here, but then again the transfer portal has been kind to USU as of late.

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
At lease we get a second year in a row where some other school paid our basketball coach. This year VCU paid Sprinkle's salary, next year Washington will be paying our new coach's salary.

His only tie with the exception of friends, fans, personal relationships, NIL, a MWC MVP, a tournament victory, a free airline ticket to the Cayman Islands, any other positive experience that transpired over the last year. Washington didn't want a coach that was on sale. They wanted to pay full price for one.

Maybe this has been discussed elsewhere but did Sprinkle ever purchase a house while he was living in Cache Valley?

Washington better hope Darius is granted another year of eligibility because we'd have like 10 more losses this year without some crazy heroics from Brown in the clutch.

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
Is it possible to get more than 6 years? The NCAA should grant all players unlimited eligibility given that D1 college basketball is essentially a professional league.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑March 25th, 2024, 4:02 pmWashington better hope Darius is granted another year of eligibility because we'd have like 10 more losses this year without some crazy heroics from Brown in the clutch.

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
So here's more more I heard on this.
Sprinkle to UW was all but a done deal earlier in the season, then their AD left. Washington went to Sprinkle and put a pause on it after that. At that point, Sprinkle was whoring himself out there. He was actually the top candidate for Oklahoma st. and Vanderbilt, but UW reiterated their desire to hire him and he chose to go with UW.
We were losing him no matter what.

Crazy to me that the guy was able to land that kind of interest after 3/4 of a season just because of a stupid "returned no points" narrative. Congrats to his agent his got his

Pope did his best to under cut what Washington was willing to pay Danny but in the end the Huskies stuck to their guns and got their guy. Pope still wants out of byu.
