What's your intuition?
I know that you'll say that we'll lose. I tend to agree. But let me tell you what my intuition tells me about our players.
When I look at SDSU and how they play, I see a team that has mental toughness for the big stage. They may not travel well during the regular season. Why? I dunno. Maybe they don't care as much. But I see a team that has a lot of mental toughness and grit when it comes to the NCAA tournament. Yes, they've had breaks, but so have we if we're going to be honest with ourselves.
When I'm looking at our roster, unfortunately I only see one player that has that same mental toughness. That's not to say that some of them can't grow and be better next year, but... Anyone remember Osobor's struggles at the FT line in the MWT? Anyone remember Mason's struggles from the FT line and 3pt line most of the season? We all know Mason can make those shots... Anyone remember Ian's struggles when he goes 1-11 shooting? Isaac? Can he guard a chair? Khalifa? Can he guard without fouling?...
We've got one player who I believe has that same mental toughness. Darius Brown II. How many times has he bailed us out of a loss? Will he be able to carry us? Unfortunately, it's a team game and my answer is no.
Still drinking...

Re: What's your intuition?
scoring drought (or draught if the alcohol related pun tickles your fancy) will cause us to go down by about 15 someway through the first half and we'll never close the gap despite cutting it to single digits multiple times. we won't have good shooting from the dudes we need to shoot well and we'll play our guts out but ultimately just not be able to make it work.

Re: What's your intuition?
Great, Darius and most of the coaching staff have NCAA tournament experience.
I’ve got a feeling the losing streak ends and we see a first pump or two from Danny.

Re: What's your intuition?
I’ve watched enough that I can tell anything will happen. Nevada was the better team, but momentum and the pressure of the moment made them get tight and they stopped making shots. This team seems like they know they are playing with house money. The season is already the most successful since we entered the Mountain West. As long as they stay lose and don’t feel any pressure to win, I can see them winning.

Re: What's your intuition?
We get down big, we fight back, but aren’t ever really in it. Everyone talks about how we overachieved and how impressive the season was despite ending it with a 15+ point loss. There’s a teary-eyed media session where everyone talks about how the real Sweet 16 was the friends they made along the way. Darius cries the hardest. Sprinkle is announced as the coach at Washington within 48 hours of the loss. At least 3/4 of the roster enters the portal. We hire the Riley guy from EWU as our next head coach. He brings in basically an entirely new roster that we all get excited about. We win 20+ games next year but lose again in the first round of the NIT or NCAAs. We remain a solid regular season program with the best home court advantage in the West.
Wash, rinse, and repeat in perpetuity, at least until we finally hire a dud coach.
Did I miss anything?

Re: What's your intuition?
I was asked what my intuition was…. That’s what I expect to happen. But I’ll be here suffering through it and donating to the AD and NIL like I always have!

Re: What's your intuition?
I think we come out and play with confidence. I predict I it is a back and forth game with brown hitting a 3 in the last 2 minutes for a victory. At least that is what I am dreaming.

Games I thought we’d lose
SDSU
@ BSU
UNM
CSU
Games I thought we’d win
Nevada
@ New Mexico
I think we lose to TCU. Also we tend to play well after a bad loss.
I may be surprised today.

The last time the Aggies won an NCAA tournament game, Kevin Harlan was the play-by-play...

Re: What's your intuition?
Just listened to TCU pregame interview and they recognize key is to focus on guarding Brown over anything else. I hope he handles the pressure.

Our game has been moved to radio so they can show a documentary on Eden. Sad.

I remember the days when you hoped your game was the most entertaining so CBS didn’t move to another game. Now you can watch every game.

Sooooo glad my intuition was wrong! We are two wins away from a USU v Kansas matchup in the Sweet 16!
