Unless he already knows he following Danny to UW im a little surprised that any player wouldn't wait to at least see who the new coach is. Is very early on in the portal window.

If people are throwing money around in NIL deals, why not see what's out there? I can't blame any of the players trying to improve their lot on life. The rules have been established, you just as well use them to your advantage.

You can enter the portal and still stay. Entering lets you evaluate all the options.

Mason and Johnson have been through a coaching change once. If it were me, I would rather have more control in who is going to be coaching me than wait around until someone is hired and then decide I don't like him. Their stock is higher now than it could be later in the year.

Remember last year when one donor stepped up and paid several of our players good money just to have them walk away with the money? The dumbest thing the collective could do right now is pay these players.

If you want to keep the players then wave the money in front of them, but tell them they can’t have it until the transfer portal closes and they are securely on our team still.

Isn't that wild. What a mess. I would have assumed the contracts always would not pay out to someone in the portal. Monthly while the athlete is enrolled and eligible or something like that.

The NIL deals, at least from Blue A Collective, as I understand, do have payouts (quarterly?) that would terminate if they transfer.

He hasn’t posted anything on Twitter for a year. It’s an old profile. His instagram that he uses all the time still has Utah State basketball in the title block.

As I predicted a few weeks ago, he's not happy with his NIL $$$. Student-athletes are no longer just that, they are paid employees.

Entering the portal just gives schools the ability to contact you without breaking NCAA rules. If I were an athlete going through a coaching change, I would put my name in the portal just to keep my options open even if I preferred to stay. I have no idea what Falslev is thinking, and I hope he stays. But just because he puts his name in the portal doesn't automatically imply that he's leaving.

That's what I heard too. Probably hard to not think of the money when everyone else is.

I don't think that the build-a-bar (or whatever it's called) money will be that enticing. Also, remember all things ybu, they take 10% right off the top right out of the gate

That rule doesn't apply to men's football and basketball players.
