The hint he gave in another thread was South Dakota State's coach. But that was just as likely another test leak like the others we have had.

And that could've been just another test leak. Maybe Diana knows now that she can trust whoever she has told that it's the Eastern Washington guy cause that hasn't been posted.

And we were also told that Diana knew Sprinkle was leaving for weeks and wanted to "act quickly" to name a replacement. Wonder what's going on.

There are no smoke screens from the AD other than being very good at keeping the coaches being talked to extremely private.

All of the noise is coming from insiders and people who may think that they have an insight. The pressure from on of these people to be the first to break it is part of their value to others and/or sometimes livelihoods. They have all been off or jumped the gun before the search process is down to one finalist.

I know “people in the room” and know that things are going well, we have talked to many really good coaches, and the end is very close. I have no names are insights. However, I do know where we are at in the process.

Tuesday would seem reasonable to me, just about a week from when sprinkle left

I mean, if it’s truly announced on Tuesday that’s only 8 days since Sprinkle officially left. And it would’ve been Monday were it not for the holiday weekend. I wouldn’t consider that too long of a process.

I’d be willing to bet that the most disruptive noise is coming from agents trying to get their guy’s name out there for recognition, leverage, pressure, etc.

Hiring a coach within a week of the former coach officially leaving seems about right. We all would like it to be faster but i would rather Diana take a few extra days and hire who is going to be the best fit rather than just fill it as quickly as possible.

Yep and as Danny mentioned his agent already had the deal in place as soon as the Aggies season ended.

How the heck hasn't Matt Langel gotten a bigger job yet?

He's won the Patriot league 6 years in a row. And won the conference tournament 5 years in a row (probably would've in 2020 as well but COVID). His salary is just under $500k.
