USU best MWC team in tourney

USU best MWC team in tourney
We all know that SDSU made it to the Sweet 16 but I would say that USU actually fared better for 2 reasons.
1) USU beat a higher seed than anyone else in the tourney (USU-9, SDSU-12,13, CSU 10)
2) If you combine the seeds of the two teams USU played (9,1), it is still a better seed than SDSU best victory.
So yeah, MWC feist season chaos followed it up with being the best in the NCAA tourney too.

This is why seeding matters.
If everyone in the MWC got the 5th seed, 4th seed, or 6th seed, we would be talking about the MWC teams that made it to the Sweet 16.

Sure, but we did beat them and didn't lose the home games SDSU lost and finished a full three games ahead of them in the final standings. And like the coloraggie said, we beat a much better team they did in the tourney, so it's not a bad argument.
In the end though, SDSU went to the sweet 16 and we didn't, and that's all that really matters. No one will ever remember that we beat a 9 seed from the B12 then lost to an elite team and they beat a couple sub par low-seeded teams. No one outside this thread will ever care about that.
