Alan Huss - High Point

Post by BasketballAgg » March 29th, 2024, 8:22 am

Haven’t heard much of his name until this morning. However, the USU Men’s Basketball twitter account followed him and his lead assistant overnight.

Very successful in his first year and lead High Point to a CBI runner up finish.

Might be a Sprinkle situation where his name isn’t brought up until right before he is hired…

I love that who the usu basketball account follows and unfollows this week is cited as evidence. Fun stuff.

I need will wade in Logan like I need oxygen.

Even if it’s just one year. It would be hilariously fun

I'm guessing someone in the AD is reading this board and strategically following other coaches just to troll us.

I figured this out since the Todd Simon thing.

Huh. I actually think I would really like this idea. Was an assistant under great head coaches. Has moved around, and killed it in his one year as a head coach.

What would be even more funny is if they flew Jim Laub's plane to a random location just to throw us off.

He was on my short list when I started looking into potential candidates and would be really exciting to me. Only 1 year as a HC but majorly successful in that 1 season. Been an assistant under really, really good coaches. He'd probably only be here for 3 years but hey, don't fix what isn't broken I guess?

Its not going to be this guy. He is not, nor has he ever, coached in the great state of Ohio. ;)

I would be curious to know if this guy got an interview. I’ve thought more about it and I think he was my favorite realistic candidate on paper.

Very very intriguing. Risky but potential for awesome upside.
