The lowest subscription donation for the collective is $27.20. It would only take approximately 9,200 of us to donate that a month for a year to hit that 3 mil mark. It's doable.Aggieforlife wrote:Wow that’s a lot of money. And that’s just basketball. If they like each other (which seems apparent) then I can see why they would make the decision to stick together for their last year. Hopefully we can get them paid a little too for wanting to stay.
No, Eric Laub commented that to be competitive in the conference it was about an average $100k NIL deal for a MWC level starter - meaning you would need $500k just to secure a starting 5. I think some guys are getting more and some less, it was just an average figure.
We know Ashworth was getting about $90k his last year at USU with almost no collective to speak of then. Some other articles have suggested it would take about a $1M NIL war chest to sign a full decent roster at our level.

Re: GREAT things?
Can we get this back on topic by saying that it would be nice if Calhoun is able to get Great to come back, but not the end of the world if he isn't.
Let's also say, there was the post in the other thread about speculation that a stipulation in his Youngstown State contract that he can't recruit kids from Youngstown State to a school he leaves for. But there is no way in hell they would be able to enforce that. That 7'3 kid he has could end up here or he could end up not. But whatever the reason is, He won't not end up here cause of something they printed in a contract they have delusions they can enforce which they can't. Rather it's cause Calhoun feels better about who we have, knows something about the kid we don't, or that kid has better offers or places he prefers to be at.

Re: GREAT things?
In the day in age where we lose coaches faster than players I’m all for getting a coach that can keep this team together! This year was so much fun and I really enjoyed watching this team! Man if we could get Great, Ian, Josh, Issac, Templin, and Mason back I would be over the moon excited for next year!!

Re: GREAT things?
I think this program just grew up this past year and showed that it's about the program, not the coach. This programs stands on its own. The environment, students, university, boosters, support staff, president, that makes a player want to stay. We will keep plugging in winning coaches. No need to follow a coach around the country to a mediocre and bland program. We will win.

Re: GREAT things?
Maybe I’m making too many inferences, but it really didn’t seem like Great and Sprinkle got along, all that great. I could be completely wrong but it seemed they got into a quite a few disagreements on the bench.
Add in the no show for Great in the post game presser.
Great had a comment a while back before sprinkle left saying “the transfer portal sucked, I never want to do That again”
It might be good odds Great is back.

You are on the right track here. Not the only player that Sprinkle didn't have a great relationship with. Nothing too terrible from what I have heard but the assumption they would follow Sprinkle should be entirely NIL based and not necessarily because they have close relationships.Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑March 30th, 2024, 3:14 pmMaybe I’m making too many inferences, but it really didn’t seem like Great and Sprinkle got along, all that great. Yeah, I think you guys are just searching for a reason that they didn’t get along. Maybe they didn’t, but if you watched all the pressers there was an empty seat between Sprinkle and the players at most of the press conferencesBlue Sage wrote: ↑March 30th, 2024, 3:53 pmYup and there was an empty seat next to Sprinkle.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑March 30th, 2024, 3:44 pmWhat was the no show? Yeah I mean I understand the desire for all to be well in Aggieland but I’d like answers from the man on that one. Did you watch the one after TCU how Great talking about the frustration of Sprinkle bailing on him the season before? Sorry to doubt that Great is just fine with Sprinkle throwing a knife into his senior season. Personally with as competitive he is and his comments about playing in front of the Hurd it’s hard to imagine he isn’t pissed off.

Although I am still nervous AF, I do think that the guys who left when Spronkle came in left pretty quickly before or immediately after he was hired.
No news seems to be good news. Hopefully we can get Mason back.
