Re: Great Osobor
Random question....kinda related to Great....Seeing all the money offers people are throwing at him, what kind of Money would Brown be offered do you think if he had one more year? Probably more than he'll make trying to go over seas I would think?

Maybe Brown should enter the portal and find out. If the NCAA attempts to block his eligibility, he could just sue and the NCAA would fold just like they've been forced to do with the transfer rules.

haha, great stuff. Spencer told him to go play in an interview (meaning go make some money with your skills) and because he can't do the NIL anymore, he'll probably make less somewhere far away.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑April 26th, 2024, 2:16 pmHanging out at the bowling alley, scoping next year's Sophomore talent.TrueAG wrote: ↑April 26th, 2024, 2:15 pmMade me think of McConaughey's line in Dazed and Confused.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑April 26th, 2024, 1:11 pmRacking up degrees, dating college chicks, partying, hooping. With the money that is being floated, I think he has made up his mind. He's going to be somewhere other than USU. Wish it wasn't so, but seems like the reality.

He’s made up his mind that it will be one of the four schools willing to pay him a mil just to play 30 basketball games for them next season. Hint: usu isn’t one of the four.

He's made up his mind already but probably gets paid $10k or so just to make the recruiting visit. If it's all about the money now, which it is, no sense in passing up $50k and five-star treatment to visit five cities. Notice I didn't say visit five universities because I highly doubt academics is discussed outside of, "...don't worry, we have lots and lots of tutors to do, err, help you, with your ahem, 'studies'...."

UK fans claim Great's whole family is coming on his UK visit. Great is clearly using UK $ to fund his families to the USA this year before coming back to USU. In my dreams. Re: Great Osobor
Maybe we'll make his Final Top 6 or 8 like we did with Steven Ashworth last year. When he made the announcement that he was going to announce his destination later that night, he did list returning to USU as one of the 6 or 8 Finalists along with VCU, Gonzaga, BYU, Creighton who ended up being the choice and a few others. So maybe Osobor will list us as one of his finalists along with Washington and the four realistic option

Re: Great Osobor
Osobor was great for USU. Showed up, won conference player of the year and helped us win only our second tournament game since the Spectrum was built. I'm not going to fault a kid for making money unless he goes to a rival.

Re: Great Osobor
I CAN NOT overstate how good we will be should Great return.
We are talking, on paper, the best team in USU history.
The Length, Athleticism, and determination is all there.
The only weakness I can think of is shooting, but Tucker Anderson should quiet some of those worries.

Great Osobor
It would be amazing if Great stays. I think we will be great even without him back. We have a lot of good guys that have come in. We would play differently than if we had Great though. I think we become more of a slashing team with Albury, Allen, Falslev, Martinez, Uduje, Tucker all capable of driving and finishing.

Imagine this line up:
Point Guard: Deyton Albury (6’2”, 190lbs)
Shooting Guard: Ian Martinez (6’3”, 185lbs)
Small Forward: Tucker Anderson (6’9”, 190lbs)
Power Forward: Great Osobor (6’8” , 250lbs)
Center: Carter Welling (6’10” , 225lbs)
If everything works out perfectly, this is our starting lineup! Come home Great!🫶

Re: Great Osobor
I find it interesting how you come to this board in waves. You'll be gone, and then suddenly, I'll see 100 posts from you. A good majority of them are making...interesting... claims. I'm also seeing the pattern: say something a little polarizing with a positive tone and then act like a cheerleader for the team. For the longest time, I just thought you were a bit ignorant about basketball. Now I'm realizing what it really was. It still amazes me how much time you are willing to spend here.AggieIceCream05 wrote: ↑April 29th, 2024, 12:42 pmImagine this line up:
