Bringing our whole guard line back would be huge. Based on what Calhoun has said, I bet he puts them through some real shooting practice in the offseason. Imagine Falslev, Uduje, and Martinez + hitting threes at a higher clip… that’s scary stuff for opposing teams. If we got Osobor back and can snag a decent pg plus a couple other good contributors out of the portal, we might be in a position to challenge for the MW again and make a run in March. Exciting stuff.

Phelps redshirt
Jackson Grant and Nigel Burris as reserves
Barnes as a Freshman
9 with 4 to go on the roster
Calhoun is in a great spot with 4 open spots to replace the production of Brown and Osobor.

I do know they did just have their first offseason workout today under Calhoun. It went well and the players seem to like him. Few players that’d you’d be very excited about were in attendance apparently.

I can’t tell who is in this clip, but it’s from the ARC today. Looks like Great, Sakho at the very least. Maybe Ian?

Dallin Grant was the 4A MVP after Falslev, and Grant was offered by Stanford, BYU, and Utah out of HS. Grant was the last recruit from the Craig Smith era (Grant was on a mission then came back from his mission when Sprinkle took over). Last season, Grant was a redshirt.

I'd imagine his game plan is to transfer down to get a lot more minutes, likely be a starter, put up big numbers, then go get poached by a big school for a NIL paycheck.

Clearly there is the big IF of whether or not he does put up big numbers, but I would guess this is his thought process. Better shot of getting paid if you're on the floor often as opposed to a role player.
