Re: Liam Campbell
He’s probably a Boise state bronco.
He’s a good player, not sure if there is even any interest from our new staff.

Re: Liam Campbell
Which begs the question. How much do you offer and invest in a kid that has not played a minute of Div. 1 basketball? Granted, a 4 star kid may have potential, but what is potential worth when it may be realized on the other side of the country.

Honestly if sprinkle was still here may have a shot.
I’m curious how good he is after seeing Jack Payne play some.

Re: Liam Campbell
I think he’d be wise to go to a Mid Major first. He could do well at a MWC or a A10 school.slcagg wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2024, 6:17 pmMaybe to WashingtonBullnamed_gus wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2024, 6:15 pmHe’s probably a Boise state bronco.

He’s not a high major player at all. The USC offer always surprised me. His tape wasn’t THAT good.
I’d be shocked if Sprinkle even offered him. His 247 page doesn’t even have us as an offer, did we offer him?

Re: Liam Campbell
Every time I watched him play in person I came away underwhelmed. He's a fine player, has some good physical tools and skills, but it just never felt like you were watching a 4 star recruit when he was on the floor.

Re: Liam Campbell
Liam knows Captain Sleeves quite well. He played with Captain Sleeve's son on the Select club team. My guess is BSU or University of Utah, if Captain Sleeves is interested in him.
Liam seemed to get the majority of his points in high school from his mid-range jump shot, turnaround jumpers, and driving to the basket which is much easier to do at his height against shorter and less athletic high school players. It will be interesting to see how those things translate to the D1 level with his length, size, strength, and athleticism. I think it would be in his best interest to start off at one of the better Big Sky or WAC schools where he could earn the most money, get the most playing time, and then focus on getting bigger, faster, and stronger with the goal of hitting the portal after his first year. I think his ceiling is a MWC type team.

Re: Liam Campbell
Didn't we get a transfer from a PAC school that was a 4-star recruit and McDonald's All American?

Re: Liam Campbell
I doubt he goes to WA. Jack is much more athletic than Liam, but Liam is a better shooter.slcagg wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2024, 6:17 pmMaybe to WashingtonBullnamed_gus wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2024, 6:15 pmHe’s probably a Boise state bronco.
