Re: New AD position?
Any chance this new hire would be in charge of broadcasting and directing press conferences?

Re: New AD position?
We need to create a position for someone who is close friends with Crumbl Sawyer. Maybe just give the communications job to Sarah Landes, and replace her with one of Sawyer's best friends!

Re: New AD position?
Maybe they decided to create this position cause they saw how frustrated some people were with the press conference!

Re: New AD position?
This isn't replacing Doug Hoffman, it's just replacing the current basketball SID who is leaving for another job. Nothing to see here, just a routine hire.
Although it does seem that department has had a TON of turnover in recent years.

Re: New AD position?
Thanks for the clarification. I didn’t see a position titled this on our existing staff so I assumed it was a new position.

Re: New AD position?
Interview questions:
Could you tell us about a time when you set up a press conference broadcast? How did you ensure your broadcast viewers could see and hear the conference?
How would you ensure Salt Lake media reporters know that #22 Utah State's men's basketball team (which coincidentally finished as the only ranked team in Utah) exists?
Can you smile?

Re: New AD position?
If you're concerned about the press conference broadcasts, that would be a concern to share with the video streaming department. It's clear that a lot of people on this board don't understand the role of a sports information department.travelingagg wrote: ↑April 10th, 2024, 7:42 pmInterview questions:

Re: New AD position?
Youngstown state website was updated in less than 24 hours after Calhoun left. It's been 2 weeks and ours has yet to be updated. Lol.

I think it is unfair to compare, since Youngstown is obviously a bigger player in the athletics realm with a far more massive budget.

Re: New AD position?
Calhoun is listed as the coach on the staff directory page.
The 2023-24 basketball staff listing has Sprinkle which is correct.
