Hard to imagine Osobor following him to OSU given Osobors opportunities available.

We need Haslam. Is there even a chance of that??
Nope. He has a new gig. It's just not for me to disclose where.
Did he have a spot here and choose this other opportunity or did he not have a spot here at USU
That I'm not 100% sure on yet. I would say his move is a step up in perception and a step down in level of play.
This is a relatively new Twitter account that claims to have inside info/utah connections. He's saying Haslam headed to Oregon State, which would meet the "step up in perception and step down in level of play" comment

That move DOES meet that criteria doesn't it. So that would mean you didn't hear it there first.
Oregon State playing in the WCC next year can't be considered a step up in perception. It is certainly a step down in level of play.
But Oregon State in name alone is considered a step up in perception. Which is why I said what I said. "Heard it first" heard nothing first.

I agree. Almost no shot. Further, I dont think keeping Haslem would've guaranteed Great would stay at USU. Which was probably a part of Calhouns consideration. What happens if you hire Haslem thinking you'll keep Great and don't get Great?

"Heard it first" is clearly some Utahn burner fan board account who wants to be considered to be an insider on twitter.
Follows Utah State and BYU sports

I bet "Heard it first" is doing the same thing on the BYU side. The account copies and pastes usufans (which is mainly 22).

How long did it take UConn football to go from playing as the BCS team in the Fiesta Bowl to bottom 10 (they played in the 2011 Fiesta Bowl (after both of Boise’s appearances). USF was a peer with Louisville, West Virginia, or the other former Big East teams. At some point really quick Wazzu and Oregon State are going to show how fast you can sink when everyone else in your former conference left you holding the anchor. There is a reason Stanford, SMU, and Cal took a steep discount to join the ACC. My guess is playing in the WCC gyms will humble them really quick, but I thought the same thing about BYU.

Imagine saying “well for the last few years I’ve been working under Tinkle and Sprinkle” in an interview down the road.

I thought about that being something that could happen, but I didn't want the board jinx.
There is our extra 220K at work.
Assistant coach at SUU, Utah Valley, and Weber State
Was a coach under Randy Rahe and Mark Pope

It was not exactly a tough nut to crack when thinking about who Utah State would get with the extra 220K.
Who is the only long-time assistant coach in Utah that has part of winning Utahn schools not named Utah State, Utah, and BYU

2024-25 Staff
Jerrod Calhoun - Head Coach
Ben Asher - Assistant Coach
Eric Brown - Assistant Coach
Eric Daniels - Assistant Coach
Manny Robinson - Assistant Coach
Paul Molinari - Director of Basketball Operations

So in theory we could still have 1 additional assistant per NCAA rules. Are we done with the main staff or will 1 additional assistant still be added?

Since we lost Haslam, maybe we should poach the St. Mary's assistant coach that lands all those Ausies.
