Re: Our new PG
Came across this while searching for FloridaAggie13's OnlyFans. Seems to be our guy, so I will look forward to the SID informing broadcasters about another football playing Aggie hoopster. No idea how far he can throw a football, though.

Re: Our new PG
I don't know if this is the PG of mystery who has been referenced, but Drake Allen recently came on a visit.
Played two seasons at Snow, then transferred to UVU and led the team in scoring last season. Not a great shooter, but averaged 11.9 points and 4.3 assists.

If Darke Allen came here, it would be his 4th Utahn college. Impressive featAggieInfo wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:07 pmI don't know if this is the PG of mystery who has been referenced, but Drake Allen recently came on a visit.

Correct. Forgot to mention he had a season at SUU before going to UVU.SLB wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:12 pmIf Darke Allen came here, it would be his 4th Utahn college. Allen makes sense because he is probably willing to be a backup PG while having a good Assist-to-TO ratio.AggieInfo wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:14 pmCorrect. His 3%
22-23 season 35.5%
23-24 season 23.2%
He is due for a rebound on his 3s.
I suspect Allen is one of the top in assists to points in D1 ball in the 23-24 season.

With that percentage, there will be lots of rebound opportunities on his 3s.SLB wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:24 pmAllen makes sense because he is probably willing to be a backup PG while having a good Assist-to-TO ratio.AggieInfo wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:14 pmCorrect. Allen was second in assists per game (4.3) in the WAC despite UVU shooting 43.3 % and 68.7 points per game (bottom 100 team stats.stwinward wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:28 pmWith that percentage, there will be lots of rebound opportunities on his 3s.SLB wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:24 pmAllen makes sense because he is probably willing to be a backup PG while having a good Assist-to-TO ratio.AggieInfo wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:14 pmCorrect. Allen had 1.5 steals per game which was 9th best in the WAC.
Overall, FG %
23-24 44.4%
22-23 49.8%
Good at getting those 2-point shots to fall

He has a chance to be a starter. Both Albury and Allen have a good ceiling. (Both are players that went from the JC to D1 ball.)Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:55 pmHe has a chance to be a starter. Re: Our new PG
Why did we drop Barnes? Seems like that kid could have grown into a nice player for us.

Re: Our new PG
Allen would be a good pickup to back up Albury. He would be a solid contributor of 10-12 minutes a game IMO.SLB wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:59 pmBoth Albury and Allen have a good ceiling. Re: Our new PG
Drake could also be thinking "Albury is a combo guard. There are going to be more PG minutes available than they think, and I have better PG skills... I have an opportunity here."

Re: Our new PG
Didn’t we recruit Allen a year or two ago? I like the idea that the guy has two last names and that he also has two first names. This is the kind of thing that would confuse Rod Tueller and might throw off Al on occasion.SLB wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:24 pmAllen makes sense because he is probably willing to be a backup PG while having a good Assist-to-TO ratio.AggieInfo wrote: ↑April 24th, 2024, 9:14 pmCorrect. I suspect Allen is one of the top in assists to points in D1 ball in the 23-24 season.
Just over 25 years ago, the Aggies played and beat Minnesota at the beginning of the season. If I remember correctly, Minnesota was coming off a final four appearance. I listened to Al call the game. They had a player named Eliason, and Al called him “Israelsen” on four or five occasions. That caught my attention.
