Tony Bland (unofficial but it's been reported it's done.)

Operations: Jerry Hobbie
GA: Xavier Bishop (came from USU)
Video & Analytics: Noah Ralby (came from USU)

Possible Assistants rumored out there:
Dedrique Taylor (Cal St. Fullerton head coach)
Larry Krystkowiak (Former Utah coach & longtime Montana resident)
Jason Kerr (local legendary HS coach with local connections)
Derrick Glasser (UC Santa Barbara assistant)

In other news, Washington is rumored to be landing Oregon St. big man Tyler Bilodeau. Makes it seem even more likely Great isn't heading there. Which I find very interesting...

Can't imagine Great would leave USU for Oregon St. They weren't good last year. Their conference future is a mess. I may have blue goggles on but Usu seems like a MUCH better place to be for his last year.

Tony Bland and the others that were busted in that whole FBI thing were visionaries. The FBI unknowingly brought on the NIL era by making all these arrests. The NCAA had turned a blind eye for decades and once the covers were pulled the NCAA HAD to do something to allow payments to players to continue. Hence, the creation of the NIL.

Sprinkle did not have great relationships with a number of the players and certainly not the sort of personal relationship that would make them likely to follow him. They obviously played hard for him but while I am pleasantly surprised how well we have managed to keep guys here so far, I am not surprised they aren't going to UW.

Sprinkle's Washington team plan was having the transfer portal to build their team. So far, they have a player from Rice who scored 14 points per game, and Washington lost basically their whole team. Washington's big struggle is that they are going to be in the Big Ten which means that they will have to win in very tough conference while trying to rebuild.
When Sprinkle came here, we had Isaac Johnson, Mason Falslev, Templin, and Sakho. Sprinkle with his assistant coaches was able to convince Darius Brown and Great Osobor to be Aggies then Hill later convinced Martinez to be an Aggie (players that had won over in recruiting in the past). Our recent winning past helped out.
Sprinkle did a great job here, but the Washington team with the portal looks far below Big Ten level ball which will end poorly for Washington.

That does not mean anyone needs to think he will be successful or want him to be. I have my doubts he will succeed at Washington, and I hope I am right.
