My wife is a teacher at Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls where Isaac goes to school. She just talked to him and he said he is no longer coming to BYU! She said he told her he might go to USU.

I don't think Ryan Odom recruited him seriously. He didn't fit the style that Odom preferred to play.

New coach, the NCAA allows you to de-commit when there's a coaching change. He wouldn't need to do anything to get out of his LOI.

New coach, the NCAA allows you to de-commit when there's a coaching change. He wouldn't need to do anything to get out of his LOI.

If the head coach leaves the institution or the sports program (e.g., not retained, resigns) before you trigger attendance (full-time enrollment attending classes in a regular academic term) at the signing institution or participate in preseason practice, whichever is earlier, you are no longer bound by the provisions of the NLI. You would need to formally submit an NLI release request if you no longer want to attend the institution due to the head coach departure and the institution must grant you a complete release.

The reason that I was excited about the coaching change at BYU was getting a second chance at trying to get players that went or committed to BYU.

Love his physicality and motor. Maybe slightly smaller than Osobor and shorter wingspan, but probably more athletic and moves a bit better. Kind of a mix of Osobor and Templin. Pope seemed to think he could become an elite shooter in time, and Calhoun is known to let his bigs put some up. Would be curious what happened if he is indeed moving on from BYU.

I think he plays more like Rob Whaley at UNLV.

I’m from the East Idaho area and have watched Davis since he was in middle school/junior high, he’s legit, but he also knows it and he lets everyone else know it too.

Guys this one where I think it's important to emphasize how much we all would love Isaac Davis in a Aggie uniform and support and cheer on this kid.

I don’t take message board rumors seriously. If he has a LOI with byu and hasn’t announced he’s in the portal then it sounds fishy. I hope he does come here. But I’m not getting my hopes up.

he wouldn't enter the portal. He'd request a release from his LOI due to a coaching change, which the school is required to approve.
