Conference Realignment

Post by flying_scotsman2.0 » September 30th, 2019, 1:45 pm

So who does the MW invite when the PAC12 loses all the California schools? We'll only have 10 cause Fresno and SJSU will be gonezo. We'll have to invite Washington and Oregon, then I guess ASU and Arizona if we want to get to 14. Good travel partners too.

Wouldn't SDSU be gone as well?

Oh yeah, I guess that'd make room for Oregon. No other PAC-12 schools interest me at this time.

We'll combine with the remaining PAC schools, it will be called the PAC-10 Again!

AZ
ASU
Utah
USU
Colorado
CSU
Oregon
OSU
Washington
WSU

Also, I don't think they can require USC and Stanford to comply since they are PRIVATE SCHOOLS!

So add them to make it back to 12!!!

UCLA sucks anyway. Cal? Meh?

They can because its state law that you can't keep a student athlete from owning their own likeness. Its not a state academic policy.

You folks think the the ewe of ewe will allow USU to join a conference with them ? Boise will get invited ahead of USU, and gasp even YBU would be. Utah consider's USU to be a academic and athletic Pygmy. Despite academics Boise would be way ahead of USU.

I like this but I think it should be
Colorado/CSU
Wyoming/Air Force
Colorado has had one season above .500 in the past what 15 seasons with 1 bowl game.

I have a hard time believing CA can force a private school athlete to comply with the law, the PS could make it a condition of the scholarship that sign their rights to the likeness away to the school to comply with NCAA rules and regs. How would the state enforce it???

If other schools in California are doing this no one would need to force private schools in California to do this, they will not want to lose recruits to others that will have this in play.

It really would be - loads of tradition with the PAC-10, and keeping the same cadence with the Flagships Schools and the State Schools works well. Utah and ybu? NO.
