thoughts on signing Brady?

I've also seen talk of interest in Rodgers -
both just make me want to :puke:

Gaining steam that this will happen and that GB will trade J-Love... a lot of Packer fans I know are not happy about this.

This post is likely straight up poor sarcasm and cannot be taken seriously.

Im not sure what the plan is after moving on from Carr. Brady would certainly be better than Garrapolo but not too excited about Brady at this point in his career. Leaves the future a big question mark.

Yeah, the guy hasn't win a super bowl for two years now. What a washout.

He's on the downhill slope to 50. Life comes at you fast if you're an athlete over 40, let alone heading towards 50.

Things are happening behind the scenes but I think the NFL puts a media blackout over the week leading up to the Super Bowl. (Only SB related news is allowed) Not sure if that applies to trade anouncements, but I'm pretty sure we aren't going to hear anything conclusive about Carr or the Raiders future QB until the SB is over.

Carr has been given the list of teams that the Raiders have agreed to trade terms with. Carr now needs to agree to be traded to a team from that list because he has a no-trade contract. A trade is in Carr's best intrest, he'll lock in $40 million. (The Raiders will pay some of that) If he's cut and enters free agency, no one is going to give him more than $12-15 million.

Figure the Carr deal will go through first, then we'll see.

Raiders path to the playoffs is going to be hard (with Rodgers) without improvements on defense. Not sure they can get there if they spend too much on Rodgers. Not sure a rookie can get them there with a top 10 defense either.

Raiders maintaining "Patriot Way" silence. The combine starts tomorrow 2/28/23. Carr has blown his advantage of being a FA weeks ahead of the other QB's. Last "official" comment from Raiders is that they aren't sure the starting QB position will be resolved anytime soon.

Expect some deals/signings during the combine.
