NIT Quarterfinals

Old friends Max, Sean and Odom & co. at VCU are into the Quarterfinals of the NIT! They've defeated Villanova and USF in the first two rounds on the road.

It looks like they'll be playing at Utah next week, as the Utes are up by 20ish in their game against Iowa currently.

Here's to your old pals knocking out the second-best team in Utah (congrats on an awesome season)!

Whoa! I checked, and it looks like Bairstow played for Smith for two years in Logan, and Shulga played for Smith for one year before Smith moved to Utah. Rollie Worster was on the same team with them both during the 2020-2021 season.

And here's a fun fact. Neither one of them liked Smith and and both were going to transfer out before Smith left and Odom came and convinced them to stay and play for him.

Can confirm. I knew them Personally. Most of everyone post Merrill wasn’t a strong fan of Smith fyi. Utah really did us a favor
